"Hey! Where you goin'?" Hank started.
"I can't let them get away," Connor stared blankly.
"They won't! They'll never make it to the other side."
"It's suicide!" F/N stated, watching with fear. They'd driven the deviant to put herself and the child in such danger, she felt bad, as if their imminent death was on her hands and hers alone.
"I can't take that chance," Connor refused to accept defeat, but Hank was having none of it, as if he was afraid to have Connor die under his watch.
"Hey, you will get yourself killed!" Hank yelled, "Do NOT go after 'em, Connor, that's an order!"
"From both of us!" F/N chimed, gripping onto the back of his jacket tightly, almost a little too tight for just simple concern. She was also afraid to lose Connor.

They continued to watch the deviant and the child cross, both of them almost being hit. Eventually, they made it across safely and F/N couldn't believe it. The deviant looked like she was comforting the child and they hugged each other tightly. F/N felt even more guilty. They just wanted to be together. The child didn't see a machine, she saw a person who'd saved her. Perhaps the assault last night was the deviant protecting the child from the man, who F/N assumed was her father, though in his statement he hadn't mentioned the AX400 took off with his daughter. How could you forget something like that in your statement? Something didn't add up right.

Hank – Warm
F/N - Warm
The car pulled up across from the food truck Hank loved so much. It was his favourite place to get food when he was working. It was called Chicken Feed, run by a guy named Gary. He made good coffee too, which meant F/N liked to accompany Hank here to get the hot beverage that could essentially be called her life blood at this point. Hank exited the car first, almost being hit by one of the automated cars. F/N face palmed. Connor had been allowed to sit in the passenger seat for this drive, Hank insisted it wasn't for any specific reason, but F/N didn't believe him. She was the next to get out of the back of the car as she shook her head at the Lieutenant almost being hit by the car which she chose to wait for.
"Dumbass," She mumbled as she pinched the bridge of her nose and crossed the road. Just as she got there, Pedro approached the two detectives.
"How you doin' man?" Pedro greeted and he shared a hug with Hank. F/N tuned out their conversation, knowing what Pedro was going to bring up.
"Hey Gary, can I get a coffee?"
"Sure F/N, 2 sugars?" He clarified.
"Nah, make it 3. Need the sugar energy today, it's been one hell of a day already." The man chuckled and began to make it while also working on Hank's food.
"How many you on today?" He asked, making small talk while Hank and Pedro spoke.
"This will be my 5th? Maybe my 6th, I haven't really been keeping count today, been too hectic," she sighed and handed him the money, taking the coffee from him. Gary was always nice to her, he knew exactly how she liked her coffee, and he knew it was an addiction for her, hence why he would always ask how many she'd had. F/N turned around to see Connor had approached and was analysing the new people around him. She shrugged it off and headed over to one of the tables with a large umbrella above it, leaving the two males to reconcile. She thought back to the highway and how both her and Hank didn't want Connor to go over the fence. He'd already mentioned earlier that if he were to die while investigating, he'd be replaced by another Connor of the same model. That didn't sit right with F/N though, and she assumed Hank felt the same. Even if he could be replaced, it wouldn't be pleasant to see him die knowing they could stop it only for a carbon copy to walk through the station doors hours later. It sucked to lose people, but to see them replaced felt wrong and weird just to think about, let alone potentially experience. She didn't want that.
