Her father never sold the house, her grandparents told him not too, it was too precious. And although they might have not lived in it for a long time, they knew that this was a place they could always call home. And now, it was her home.
Her dad took y/n's hand and walked back near to the car. Turning their eyes to the house they smiled as they admired it. Home.
"You ready?" He said looking down at her and smiling.
"Ready." She said smiling back at him as the two of them took their steps to walk up to the front door. Her dad turned the key and opened the door.A strong mist of dust blew across their faces, contaminating any breathing space she had. They coughed as the dust flew by. Her dad walked forth and turned on the light.
Home.
He walked forward looking around the dusty house in awe and Y/n followed behind. And just as she was about to enter one of the rooms she heard him yell from the other side:
"WELL LETS GET TO WORK!"
>"DAD YOUR NOT PUTTING ENOUGH FORCE INTO THE COUCH!"
"WHAT THE FUCK WE'RE SUPPOSED TO PICK IT UP NOT BURY IT TO THE GROUND!"
"FUCK IT CALL SOMEONE FOR HELP!"
"Alrighty then."Her dad put the couch back down on the floor as y/n shook her hands from the weight. She continued to set up the smaller pieces around the house until her dad finally had brought someone for help.
"Hey kid so we need some help around here to pick up this couch."
"Oh sure sir no problem." A thick british accent spoke up.
She furrowed her eyebrows and walked to where the voices were coming from, with a delicate decoration ornament in her hand she stood by the small front hall where the two men were talking.
She spotted her dad and a boy, he seemed young, her own age perhaps. He had brunette hair and dark brown eyes. He was thin and tall, with a genuine sweetness to his face."Oh and this is my daughter y/n!" My dad introduced her to him in the midst of explaining to him what he needed help with.
"Hi I'm Louis." He said smiling and putting out his hand. (Y'all thought it was Tom 😩 sike bitch it's Louis Partridge)
Y/n shook his hand and returned the smile.
Rest of the evening was spent with the three of them cracking jokes and setting up the house. Louis had left since his grandparents expected him by noon and it was just y/n and her dad left.
"Glad we got this done in one day." Her dad said with a sigh as they sat on the couch.
"Glad I didn't see any snakes." She said in response making the two of them laugh."I'm gonna go to bed." Y/n said breaking the silence and getting up from the couch.
"Okay, goodnight pumpkin.""Goodnight dad."
>She sat on the bed the same night, it was 10pm, who sleeps at this time? Y/n knew her dad had already gone to sleep in the next room considering she could hear his loud snores, these walls are thin aren't they.
She got up from the bed and sighed as she looked out from the window. She didn't know where this new beginning would take her, but she was prepared for it.
She rested her hands on the window sill, the curtains brushing slightly from the light night wind. The whole street was dark, only the night lights being the source of glow. Other then her own all the houses had their lights switched off, except one.
She raised her eyebrow as she looked at the house across from her, the one right in front. She spotted a tall guy with what seemed to be brunette hair and brown eyes, but the low light prevented her from being sure. He had a sharp jawline from what she could tell, and man... one hell of a body.
He was shirtless and let me just say- absolutely ripped, what is he an athlete?
She spotted him as he was taking off his shirt in front of the window. She gaped at him looking at how hot- dear god.
She had a sudden jolt of nervousness when she saw him look directly at her from the window. Her eyes widened and she quickly moved to the wall next to the window praying he didn't catch her looking at him.
But what she didn't know, is that he just smiled and closed the curtains.
