"Until we meet again, Dazai."

• • •

Fyodor closes the door on the way out, and Dazai makes a face of disgust towards the now closed door. He doesn't like him—not one bit. Maybe he hates him more than he should, but he has a gut feeling that the man isn't any sign of good. Well, he did say he was from an enemy organization—it wasn't clarified as to which organization—but yeah, that's a good introduction right off the bat.

The three of you all take your seats in front of Mori's desk. It's a little more messy today, Dazai assumes he was thinking really hard about something—and as always, it's never anything good. He knows that Fyodor didn't come here only to exchange information, Mori definitely told him to do something for him, but he's just not sure what.

Mori exchanges glances with Dazai. "Dazai, Chuuya, and [Y/N]. I've called you all here for a reason—" Mori starts, playing with his gloves, but still presenting the role of leadership.

Well no shit, this isn't tea time, Mori.

Your thought had interrupted him, "—I have a new mission for you, something a little....different, I suppose," he continues.

Honestly, Mori was acting like a majority of the missions he gave weren't extremely weird. Similar to the time Dazai and Chuuya had to pretend they were dating in order to get something. Admittedly--it was amusing, especially after the club exploded because they didn't diffuse the bomb correctly. It didn't really make any sense as to why Mori had to include the dating part. Regardless, Dazai killed the target much sooner than he should have because he broke out of character—you know, after the idiotic bomber asked if he loved Chuuya.

Especially after considering the fact that Mori even got the hint that you and Dazai were dating. It seriously just seemed like he wanted to look down on everyone and say, "fuck you, I'm in charge. Let me start some completely unnecessary drama because Elise is ignoring me again."

Given the fact that he doesn't seem very important right now—just yet—starting something for his amusement is what he does best. For fucks sake, something wrong goes through the man's head.

Dazai and Chuuya both sigh at the mere mention of the task, looking over at each and looking absolutely done with Mori. Dazai mouths the words, "not again," to Chuuya. After Mori soaks in all of your expressions—already feeling delighted that this is going as he planned, he finishes his sentence.

"Let's play dress up."

Great. He says it in the worst way possible.

"Dress up? We're not Elise, just to clarify," Dazai says, and Mori looks down at him, slightly embarrassed. But he laughs it off, the dark strands that were pulled back fall down, framing his face almost delicately. "You, [Y/N], are going to need to seduce a target."

You turn over to look at Dazai—who isn't pleased at all—he's seems slightly angered, and he's gripping onto the fabric of his pants. Chuuya raises an eyebrow at him, because he's not quite fond of it either, "And where, exactly?" Mori gestures his hands out, "The suspect should be at a nearby club, if I'm not mistaken." Dazai grits his teeth in frustration, because hell, he could break the table at this point.

Does Mori ever take a break?

Because the idea of your partner flirting with someone else is gross, even if it's for a mission—and he has to accept that, sadly—but he doesn't want you to do it. What sucked was how you really didn't have an option.

After Mori gives a brief description of the man— "That's all," Mori says, happily, "be there by around eight, I'll send you the address, Dazai." The three of you get up from your seats, instantly walking towards the door because the atmosphere in this room is weird. "Oh, actually, Dazai," Mori starts, putting a finger to his head as if he remembered something, "stay back for a second."

Why—?

Dazai sighs loudly—definitely not on purpose, because he totally does not want Mori to know how done with him he is. He sits back down, and once the door closes, Mori starts talking. "How are you?" Mori asks, voice quiet. Dazai gives him a face similar to the one he wore when Fyodor was explaining his business here. He scoffs, "Aren't you tired, Mori?"

Mori raises an eyebrow, looking as lost as ever, "What do you mean?"

"Trying to break me," Dazai laughs, "what are you gaining from it? I mean, suppose I do—what will you do? Have a party?"

"Finding weaknesses in people is important in the Mafia. I'm so close to seeing who you really are, Dazai," Mori explains. "I've found a few of your weaknesses, I'm just stuck on timing." His voice turns cold, and his eyes darken, "So, believe me. I will break you."

Dazai chuckles. "No," he says simply, and Mori raises an eyebrow. "Is that so?" Mori questions. Dazai's eyes widen, not out of fear or anything close to that. There's a smile plastered on his face, and widened eyes that look more terrifying—painfully similar to the expression Mori had when he killed the previous Boss in front of Dazai. He looks up, making sure Mori's looking right back at him—

"I'll break you first."

Mori let him leave after that, and Dazai's already made his way to turn the doorknob of his room. "Chuuya's not here?" he asks, because he genuinely thought he'd be here at this time. "No," you reply, "are you okay?" Dazai shakes his head as if he's clearing his mind, "Yeah."

Dazai hasn't done anything that made you believe that he was upset about the mission that was given, but after the reaction he had in Mori's office, you could only assume that he was trying to hide it.

And maybe, he has a plan.

So when he's leaning in for a kiss, you don't think anything of it.

Then he slides his bottom lip upwards, letting it brush against your upper lip while he keeps his eyes half-lidded, unfocused. He feels so lost in sensations around you that even he's amazed by it. So, the next few words that come out of his mouth are unexpected. "Wanna wrestle?" he asks, doing the same motion again. Before you can ask him what he means by that without a laugh—

There's the feeling of him giving your bottom lip a slow suck, and you gasp lightly—everything is moving so slow yet it feels so damn fast. When you try asking again, he cuts you off, closing his eyes entirely as he continues, "with our mouths." And Dazai's thanking whatever God there is for not having a voice crack as he speaks anymore—puberty is a pain, but in the end, it gets him to talk like this without the fear of embarrassment as often.

You both chuckle quietly at his words--nothing intense happens, however, it's simple kissing that leaves you both breathless.

And that's how you ended up with the most visible bruise on your neck.

Ah, so that was his plan.

A/N: y'all ever feel unsure of what to write about in the second half of the chapter, so you just make them kiss for a good portion of it? also hey! after long last, we've finally got the part one of the chapter that I based this book on!
