She's not the chosen one, she is the cursed one. His curse and his redemption.
"No, we can't" my breath hitched as his thumb traced my lower lips making the world around me spin.
"I'm your mate Luna, you are m...

"Where the hell have you been?" I asked Luna making her flinch at my voice.
Shit I didn't mean to snap at her.
"I'm sorry, I just..." Lucas, way to mess it up.
"I'm sorry, when I came home... I-I I got scared when you were not here, I thought you left."
There I said it, when I came home after taking care of my works, Luna was nowhere to be found. Everything was just the way it was before I left, except the bed – it was neatly arranged.
For a second, I thought she left me because she was angry at my actions last night. She could've at least left a note. I've been searching for her for the past two hours throughout this area but she was nowhere to be found.
She was wearing a pink frock with cherries on it, this color suits her making her more adorable. That's when I noticed the cupcake box in her hand, did she left to buy this?
"Luna, I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you. I just got scared when I came home and you are not here," I ran my hands through my hair.
Hell, why am I messing this up again and again.
"It's fine, I should have left a note like you did. But I couldn't find the sticky note and I thought I'll be back before you come," she gave me a genuine smile.
Before I could ask her where she's been, her stomach growled loudly. "Come let's have lunch and talk about your day," I grinned setting up the table.
Yes, I cooked some vegetarian dishes to improve my mate. I have no clue how it came out.
"You cooked," she asked. I nodded my head putting the sandwich I made for us. Well, that's the only thing I know to do.
"Yes, I made some basic vegetarian sandwich. Hope you don't mind."
Her face lightened up like the sunlight with a huge smile on her face. "Are you kidding me, this is amazing," she said taking the sandwich on her hands.
I wonder how it is, I've never cooked in my whole life other than the time where my sister forced me to learn cooking and now, I'm grateful I learned a few.
"Hmmm, hundred points. You aced it," she moaned devouring the basic sandwich making me smile.
Now I get it when they say love and happiness is contagious. Looking at my happy mate makes me so damn happy; I've never felt so happy for getting a simple compliment. I have gotten a hell lot of compliments but this feels real and good.
"So, tell me about your day," I started taking a bite of my sandwich.
Hmm, not as bad as I thought. I'm showing a lot of improvements in making conversations like Carter said.
"I got a job," she giggled.
Wait what?
"Yes, in a cupcake shop. Even I didn't expect that to happen," she nodded her head.
