(ON HOLD) DC Injustice: Out With The Old, In With The New

Edward Nygma smiled. A plan was approved and set. He and the gang of supervillains will unleash a riot against the staff tomorrow morning and then break out of the asylum. Once that happens, they will run as far as possible from Gotham. Away from Superman, their potential demise.

All he needs is Poison Ivy's help. He managed to steal a security clearance card and plans on giving it to her before bedtime. That way, she can escape her own cell and release everyone before sunrise.

There was a scream. An all too familiar scream.

Come to think of it; Ivy is always put in a large cell that has plant-killing pesticide spraying constantly. So, of course, she would be crying out in pain.

It turns out this was a completely different situation. Edward noticed upon getting a closer look that Ra's Al Ghul was attacking Poison Ivy.

"Mr. Ra's, unhand her now. I need her for something important!"

"That will have to wait. I need her for something important, too." He pulls up a knife and puts it against her throat. "Let me take some of your blood, so I can use the power of your little ecosystem to protect me. Move along Edward, you do not want this."

"You don't understand, we need her for our plan tomorrow."

"I know all about your escape plan. Now tell me why Miss Ivy is important for the plan."

Riddler sighed and pulled out the security clearance card from his pocket. "She will use this-"

"To help break out all the inmates from this asylum, how clever. Unfortunately, you have made things much easier for me."

Within a flash of a second, the knife moved, and Poison Ivy collapsed to the ground. Ra's al Ghul dashes forward and uppercuts Edward, causing him to stagger backward and drop the card. The master assassin snatched the card and-

Edward regained his composure and pushed Ra's against the cell wall, catching him off guard. He grabbed the leader's hair and threw a punch against his cheek, shouting, "You bastard!"

As he went for another punch, his fist was blocked by Ra's. He kicked Edward's legs and broke his right arm. As Riddler yelped in pain, he said, "Stand down, Riddler. You may have caught me off guard for a moment, but don't expect to best the leader of the League of Assassins. I am well over 800 years old, and I trained countless generations of men, women, and children to be deadly weapons. To us, you're nothing but target practice."

Edward was barely moving, other than holding his broken arm and crying. Ra's Al Ghul walked over to Poison Ivy and collected some of her blood with a few vitals. As he headed out-

The broken man got up and slapped the vitals out of Ra's hands, and they exploded upon impact with the ground. He grabbed the assassin by the shoulder and threw a punch in the face. Upon contact, there was a soft CRUNCH. Ra's covered his nose, and blood seeped in between the fingers.

*SNIFF* "Did you not heed my warning? Very well."

Within a matter of seconds, Edward was struck with a barrage of attacks that nearly paralyzed him. Using moves that Edward recognized from those Jackie Chan movies, the assassin leader pummeled his chest before pulling out an old knife- ancient by the looks of it- and slicing it across his face. Edward was now screaming.

Ra's Al Ghul kicked his legs with a swipe, causing Edward to fall, but not before dual fists smacked him down to the injured face.* This put him unconscious.

Ra's wiped the blood from his nose, which, to be fair, wasn't that much, and raced over to Poison Ivy's body.

Unfortunately, he ran out of time.

The armed guards finally arrived and ordered Ra's to surrender. He raised his hands only to get handcuffed and taken into a solitary cell.
