Edward was shaking.

"Relax, Riddler. I'm not going to hurt you, yet." Robin replied.

"Then why the hell are you here?"

"To see Ra's Al Ghul's mark on you in-person. Honestly, did you really think you could take on the leader of the League of Assassins?"

"I don't care how fast he is, I just wanted to teach him a lesson for crossing my path."

Robin almost laughed. "Turns out he gave you a lesson."

"Is it safe to go out, kid?" Officer Cash asked Robin.

Just then, there was an announcement over the loudspeakers. "Hey boys, how about we teach our Justice League pals how we do it downtown?!" yelled a cranky feminine voice.

"Harley Quinn," Riddler growled.

Almost immediately afterward, loud screeches of cell doors echoed across the hallway. And then there were the shouts of anger.

"All units, someone has hacked into our security system and unlocked all of the cell doors. This is a code red! I repeat, this is a code red!"

Officer Cash cocked his pistol, and the doctors backed away from the entrance doors. Riddler tried budging, but Robin immediately pulled out his stick and aimed it at him. "You're not going anywhere, Riddler!"

Edward realized that the kid was not kidding. Those eyes, it didn't feel right. It's almost as if he now wants to kill.

"Hey Robin, I think you should go help Batman. I got this one," Cash advised the sidekick. The red hero stared back and forth between the officer and the criminal, before sighing "Very well." And then he walked out of the infirmary.

For the next hour and a half, Edward Nygma was stuck inside the infirmary. The doctors managed to fix his face stitches within twenty minutes, but had to hide for the extra hour due to the intensity of the riot. It was in the later half that for some reason everything suddenly just quieted down.

It was when Riddler was eventually taken out of the infirmary that he saw someone he never expected to see again. Batman stood in the hallway, his face to the ground, carrying a man in his arms. He didn't bother to fight, nor did Riddler think of doing so either.

It was Nightwing that was in Batman's arms.

"Oh damn," Edward thought. The guards escorted him past Batman, and to his cell. But there was the Justice League behind him, and a bunch of inmates.

Everything felt still yet calm that day.

It was later on before dinner time that the League, who apparently stayed behind, went on with their plan. To his surprise, they weren't going to kill the inmates, but rather send them into different locations.

What happened afterward felt tense, yet dull at the same time. Riddler noticed that Penguin was beaten hoarsely, as he was being dragged toward the infirmary by guards, while covered in cuts and torn clothes. The Justice League was ordering everyone to their cells, even ignoring complaints by the prison guards. Warden Quincy Sharp still retained his authority as warden, but the threat of replacement by the League remained at large.

Dinner was beef tacos with salsa and sour cream as a side. And the cafeteria at that time was almost deathly silent. Every prisoner was afraid of lashing out at each other, because the J.L. was watching them carefully.

Edward never said a word when he was ordered back into his cell for lockup after dinner, and when he was selected for prisoner transport. He just nodded and complied. He knew he cannot beat the Justice League with his intellect, because his intellect told him they are easy to snap back and potentially murder without any hesitation.

The next morning, he was brought to the recession by the guards, who then brought him to an armored truck. The Riddler was taken inside the back end of the truck, and that was the last he saw of his criminal allies and Arkham Asylum.
