Captains - Patrick Cripps

Everybody was finally ready for the beep test to begin not many people were looking forward to it but they were ready.

The coaches started the recording and everybody got ready at the cones when the first beep went everybody started doing a slow jog as there was a fair amount of time, the second beep went and they ran back.

They were up to level 9 when the first people dropped out it was; Kate Darby, Nat Exon and Blaine Boekhorst. As it went on more and more people began dropping out they were now up to level 14 and only 8 people remained; Leni, Jsos, Crippa, Marchy, Charlie, Bella, Murph and Shae.

Everybody was getting cheered on and none of the idiotic trio wanted to drop out and have buckets of ice water poured on them but one of them would have to at some point.

At 14.4 Murphy and Bella dropped out leaving only 6, 4 of which refused to lose not wanting to lose bets. At 14.6 Marchy dropped out meaning he would get 3 buckets of ice water poured on him which was quite unfortunate.

Shae didn't reach the line before the beep and finished at 14.7 leaving only; Charlie, Jsos, Crippa and Leni, at 14.8 Charlie started slowing down before dropping out just before the beep meaning there was only 3 left meaning Jack had just won one of his bets.

Pat was amazed that Leni was still going and clearly underestimated her. He wasn't involved in any bets but he didn't want to come 3rd so he was going to keep running despite being very exhausted.

He had reached 14.9 when he saw Jsos slow down and breath heavily it seemed as though Leni had noticed as well and seemed happy she had won her bet with him as he dropped out right before the beep leaving only himself and her.

It was now a battle between the 2 captains and it seemed as though they both refused to lose and they had just reached level 15.

It was rare for people to reach level 15 but it seemed as though they weren't stopping soon it got to 15.3 when they both started slowing a bit only just making it before the beep but unfortunately they missed the next beep causing them both to drop out at 15.4.

Leni and Pat both dropped to the floor after running for so long before getting up and walking to their team mates, both were congratulated by their teams before everybody started to chat whilst Bolton and Damo were busy recording numbers.

Leni walked over to Jack when she reached him she started speaking "Told you I would beat you, never underestimate the power of your older cousin lil dude" Leni told him with a laugh earning a glare from and a laugh from the other 2 in the idiotic trio and Crippa who was standing with them.

Leni congratulated Charlie and Marchy before turning to Pat, the other 3 continued their convo not paying attention to the other 2 that had drifted away slightly.

"Hey, I just wanted to say good job. I'm Leni" She said to Pat

"Oh uh thank you, you did really well as well and um I'm Patrick but call me Pat" He said slightly nervously

"Well it's good to meet you Pat I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of each other seeing as we're both the captains, so I'll see you later. Bye" Leni said with a wave before walking around just before she was out of earshot Pat said bye as well.

Jack and Charlie brought out 3 buckets of ice water and got Caleb to stand in the middle of a circle that had everybody in it and then Jack one by one tipped the tubs of water on him.

Jack made the smart decision to run away right after to avoid getting a wet hug from him but Charlie wasn't smart enough to think of that and got soaked by Caleb.

For the rest of the training session it was just building stamina and working on cardio, at 12 the boys training finished but the girls still had another hour. When the boys had left the girls were instructed to run about 5 laps of the oval whilst Damo set up a kicking activity, all of the girls started running in a group and chatting with each other.

Leni was running next to Tilly who was teasing her about her interaction with Pat, because she was the only one of the girls who saw the awkward conversation between the 2.

"I'm just saying that you 2 would be a hot power couple" Tilly told Leni with a shrug

"Really Tills? I've spoken to the guy what once and that was say good job, that doesn't mean anything" Leni exclaimed

"Okay then do you think he's hot at least?" Asked Tilly

"Yes but that doesn't mean anything. You can think people are hot without liking them or something" Len said

"Well if you say so" said Tills before jogging up to Bri.

Patrick had just left the oval after training and was walking towards the locker rooms with the rest of his team laughing and chatting, as he was talking to Harry Mckay one of the guys new to the team he looked out to the window to the oval the girls were still training on and spotted the girl he had been looking at most of the morning.

She was jogging around the oval and laughing with her friends he didn't know why but he got a funny feeling in his stomach seeing her laugh.

He was pulled out of his trance by walking into the back of Ed Curnow who had stopped while some one was unlocking the locker rooms, he quickly apologised with a laugh starting up a conversation about training and the pre season coming up.

Once everyone was in the locker rooms they all started mucking around playing music and only a couple were actually getting ready to leave as the rest knew they would probably stay for another hour just chatting and playing around.

It wasn't long until someone found a pack of balloons and blew one up to play balloon volleyball.

The boys although serious about footy loved to muck around for about an hour after training in the locker room seeing as there was nothing better for them to do after training except go home so they may as well just hang around, play games and catch up.

Whilst playing balloon volleyball Pat was unable to get Eleanora Torelle out of his head. They must have been playing for awhile because he saw all of the girls start to leave the park meaning their training was over.

As he quickly walked out of the locker room to the taps outside it he saw Leni walking out of the girls locker room with the girl he had learnt was called Bella, They made eye contact and he sent her a wink to which she looked away with a light pink tint on her cheeks.

He then saw the idiotic trio walk over to them and saw them all get into a car he was assuming was going back to the cousins places, she looked back making eye contact flashing a small smile before getting in the car and driving away.

The smile made him happy he didn't know why but soon decided it was time to go home and eventually drove away.
