It was expected that changes would come when new members were added to Endzone but fans could only speculate on the subject.
Endzone 016 was created so the original eleven members had their own unit. Most believe the unit was so quickly created because a lot of fans would claim they only follow the original lineup members so it's clever to allow them to still promote and perform like they used to.
Fans were also expecting new units that included the new members. Some brought up the idea that since Endzone 016 was created, maybe soon Endzone 021 would be created too but nothing was confirmed by SM.
Time passed and SM Entertainment finally made an announcement regarding the first official comeback of an Endzone unit in 2021.
Endzone C will be coming back on March with a new mini-album but a few changes have been made.
Endzone C, first created as an unit to focus on chinese releases and promotions in China, is now switching its concept to an unit focused on expanding culture, meaning they won't only be releasing chinese songs in the future.
Although all that was confirmed by the agency, their 2021 comeback will come as a chinese mini-album.
The biggest surprise of the announcement was that Endzone C would be switching up its members. Members Haeseong, Sunwoo and Snap would be removed from the unit to focus on their other units and open way for new members Orion, Takao and Wiz.
According to Endzone's agency, Endzone C members could be switched in the future again but for now it is a fixed unit with the 7 members: Silk, Q, Maxy, Ichiro, Orion, Takao and Wiz.
Regarding the other units, SM confirmed that no changes will be made to any of them and they should be considered fixed units and releases under the name Endzone (no unit specified) would suggest that any combination of members could be in them just like during Resonance era.
With all that being said, it is confirmed that on March 10, Endzone C will come back with the song "Kick Back" from the mini-album of the same name.
Next chapter kicks off the member profiles plus teaser photos for "Kick Back".
