Jayda's Pov

"Mom don't worry, okay? I am working and making good money, it was just a little gift for you."

"What kind of job is even that? Jayda, tell me where did you get that amount of money?" Mom asked again.

"I'll talk to you later, love you." I said then hung up immediately before she could say anything. I sighed and sat on the couch.

It's been a month since i robbed my ex-boss and started a "new life". I moved in a cool apartment and found a better job.

My mom and my brother live in Texas. I moved here to follow my dreams but messed up and lost everything. That's why i really needed money.

It was 10 pm and i decided to watch Netflix. As i was picking what to watch, someone rang on my doorbell. I wasn't waiting for anyone tonight.

I got up and walk to my door. I look through my peephole to see who it is and i see a man standing there. He was wearing a black suit and had black glasses on. Who the fuck wears them at night?

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Hello, Jayda. I came here to offer you something. Can you open the door so we'll talk about it?" He said. If i didn't open it, fuck knows what would he do. So i just opened the door.

He walked in and sat on my couch. He took off his glasses and looked around.

"Nice apartment." He said.

"Thanks. So who are you and what do you wanna talk about?" I asked sitting on the sofa in front of the couch.

"I'm Mateo Gray. Do you remember that girl from the nightclub who helped you? I'm her father."

"Oh yeah, her. So what do you want?"

"So i need you to become friends with her and maybe more than friends." He said smirking.

"I'm sorry but if you didn't know she mentioned that she has a girlfriend."

"Exactly. I need you to tear apart their relationship. As a father i know and see that she's not good for my daughter. She killed my son, Michelle's brother." I gasped. How is she even dating that girl after this? I would've destroy whoever would kill my brother, no matter what.

"I'm sorry that it happened but i can't ruin anyone's relationship."

"I'll pay for that. I heard your family in Texas were struggling with money just as you."

"Wait how do you know about my family?" I asked confused.

"Do you understand who i am now?" He said with grin on his face. "Oh no, I'm not threatening you, honey. I just want you to do whatever i say, okay?" I looked down not knowing what to do. He got up and walked towards me. "Just imagine, your mom happy, healthy and your brother not having to work at this young age. Them living here with you, not worrying about anything."

This is what i want but can i do something cruel like that for it? I'll need money again so it's a great chance to not lose everything again.

"How can i know that you're not lying about money and stuff?" He got a convert from his jacket's inside pocket and handed it to me. I opened it and my eyes widen as i see what's inside.

"That's not all, you'll get more than this after. Deal?" He said reaching out his hand.

"Deal."

Michelle's Pov

"We've already talked about that, Hayden." I said, my head already aching.

"But you didn't even give me a chance." He said. Billie got up from the chair and sat on my lap then started massaging my right hand. Its been hurting lately and cause of that I'm getting aggressive sometimes.

"Okay whatever. You can go. But if you'll be dead, it's on you." I said.

"But Victor will be with me, so there's no possibility that I'll die. Right?"

"I don't know. If Victor will be your mommy and protect you from bad guys, who will do the actual mission?" The office went silent.

"I don't what about yall but I'm hungry." Billie said breaking the silence.

"Yeah, I'm hungry as hell honestly." Hayden agreed.

"Okay let's-" i got interrupted by my phone ringing. "Give me a second." I said grabbing my phone from the table. It was an unknown number.

"Who's that" Hayden asked.

"I think it's Mateo."

"Pick it up, let's see." I accepted the call. "Put it on the speaker." He said and i did.

"Hello." A female voice said.

"Hey who is this?"

"It's me Jayda, the girl who robbed an old man in the nightclub, remember?" I looked at Billie who looked calm, for my surprise.

"Oh yeah, what's up? How did you get my number?"

"Your- you gave me it, don't you remember?" She said.

"Weird, i don't. Why did you call me anyway?"

"I just wanted to thank you cause last time i didn't get a chance to. How are you by the way? How is your shoulder?" She asked. That's weird how she called me only after month.

"That's all fine and I'm good thanks for asking." I said. I didn't really want to continue talking to her now.

"That's good. What are you doing?"

"I need to go actually, I'm busy doing uh" i looked at Hayden and he shrugged. "Mafia things, bye." I said then hanged up.

"Why is she calling you now? It's been like month or more." Hayden said.

"Let's just go, I'm hungry." I said. Billie got up and headed to the door without saying anything. I looked at Hayden again.

"I think she's mad." He said.

"No shit." I said getting up.

Billie is still silent and I'm getting scared. We were now going to my room.

"Baby?" I said walking behind her.

"Yeah?" She answered. I felt a relief as i heard her voice

"Are you okay? You've been kinda quiet."

"I'm fine." She shorty said. We walk in my room and i went straight to my bed to lay down.

"Shit I'm so tired." I said laying on my bed. There goes the silence again. I slightly raised my head to look at Billie and she wasn't here. Maybe in the bathroom.

Soon she got out of there and laid down next to me. She didn't lay her head on my chest like she used to.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked again. She didn't say anything.

"Do you love me?" She suddenly asked.

"Of course. You're the love of my life." I said turning my head to her. "What makes you think i don't love you?"

"I don't know." She said still looking at the ceiling.

"I don't want you to doubt my love for you. Ever. I'm in love only with you and wanna be with you forever." I said meaning every word that left my mouth. A tear fell down from her right eye and she quickly wiped it off.

"Promise me that you won't ever leave me."

"I promise I'll never leave you alone. Come here you idiot, why do you even think of such things?" I said chuckling. She laid her head on my chest and wrapped her arm around me.

"Can you sing to me?" She asked.

"But i thought maybe you would sing to me?" I said yawning.

"It's your turn."
