Y/n's POV:

After taking a shower, I noticed a missed call from Lewis,

'Shit.' I mumble under my breath, as I grasp the phone and call him back, he picks up right away,

'Hey, you called?' I ask,

'Hello right, could you and Cameron step into the office tomorrow at about half past nine? We have the file however we need to plan the exact strategy all together,

'Yeah, sure, we will be there.' I respond,

'That will be your last, you both are taking off in three days...' Lewis explains, it's definitely for the best...right?

'Great, got it, see you soon.' I then hang up and place my phone aside,

Grasping the edges of the sink, I glare into the mirror and examine myself, it has been a fucking mess and qualms overwhelm me, was the money worth it?

I mean, I would be in jail right now, but it would be much different...

Was I just a game? Was Rafe trying to prove his point? All this fondling, all these provocative moments, all this touching, erotic and accidental, I am not saying that It meant something to me, no-not at all, it's just...

He is a cunt, and maybe I was just so hooked up on the fact that he was my sole company for all this time that...his dim-witting behaviour was camouflaged by the reassurance?

I was not prophesying, I was not even thinking, it's like capering with someone who you know, you are not supposed to, however that lures you even more, the adventure, the menace...the ardour?

In conclusion, it was a one-time thing and I have to move on, he did the second we stopped making out against that window...

---

'We have to be at half past nine in the office tomorrow.' I inform Rafe as I walk towards the kettle, he is sitting on the couch, his legs in front of him as he is holding a book in his hands, Rafe...reading?

'You know how to read?' I ask as he glances at me narrowing his eyebrows,

'You do know when to shut up, or should I make you?' He asks, however he is different, it's not his haughty-remark, he doesn't have that smirk that ledges across his lips, his eyes don't glint the same,

He keeps shuffling through the pages, maybe I should get a book myself?

There is a massive library in this apartment, why not take an advantage of it?

I walk towards the doors as I can feel Rafe scanning me, opening the door, a warm light illuminates through the room, I walk in and examine the vast choice of novels, sequels and standalones,

I decide to start with classics, legendary plays of Shakespeare, then to Greek Mythology section, I always wanted to read 'The Song Of Achilles' however never managed to get my hands on it, and it's here,

I'll take that one for now, once I turn around, I notice Rafe in the doorframe,

'You are lame.' He remarks, I scoff,

'And what are you reading?' I scold,

'The vocabulary is too advanced, you wouldn't know,' He taunts, I nod and form my lips in a thin line,

'And I am sure that if we check your search history, it will be based on dictionary and it's meanings.' I respond as he steps closer, as he is now right in front of me, he then raises his hand and hoards the novel back into the shelf,

'Be brave and check my search history love.' He conveys, as he then turns around and paces towards the doorframe as before leaving, he glares at me once more, 'Be quiet, I am going to sleep.'

---

Next morning, I quickly got ready and paced downstairs, Rafe is already dressed,

Hair parted, white shirt that hugs his body, depicting on his physique, black jeans, black boots and a black-leather jacket,

Today I decided to go with beige trousers, white blouse that is tucked in and some black boots with a beige coat, matching the trousers,

Our eyes meet for a brief second,

Nonetheless, we eventually start walking towards the threshold, closing the door and pacing towards the vehicle,

Rafe leads the car out of the parking lot and begins driving through the hectic and busy roads of New York, this morning is a foggy one,

Clouds clad the sun rays, blocking any type of light, anchor streets and a little drops of brimming rain cripple against the windows, a swathe melody in the background is playing, I glance at the radio and notice that it's 'Softcore' By The Neighbourhood...

I am pretty sure it's slowed and reverbed version...

---

'Morning, so good to see you.' Lewis exclaims as he leads us towards the office, he's in his formal-navy suit, his hair slackened backwards and he has that I-hate-you-all-but-my-job-is-to-appear-friendly type of smile...

'Good morning,' Everyone is the office announces once me and Rafe step inside, we take a seat and look at the projector, the same lady is standing next to it, demonstrating her...plan?

'Can I say something?' I ask after she finishes, her plan was to threaten them absentmindedly...

'Yes, go ahead.' Lewis encourages,

'I personally suggest that, since we already scattered their office and gnawed at their hegemony, we could offer a bargain or a simple deal... We demand for them to maintain a low profile and leave this agency alone, in return of that file, since the value of that pamphlet is quite high,'

'And what if they don't after we give the file back?'

'Emulate and make a copy.' Rafe conveys, tilting his head, 'If they play dirty, so will we.'

I nod in agreement as Lewis smiles and places his palm against the counter,

'Fantastic, thank you Mr. Cameron and Ms. Y/l/n for your participation, we appreciate it so much, and I think we should celebrate it, what about on Friday, all of us go to that new club and just rest?' Lewis suggests, I glare at Rafe, he is smirking and looking at me,

'We will go.' He says, Lewis smiles and claps his hands, Friday is tomorrow, maybe, just maybe I should go? It's been a lot lately and grabbing some 'Sex On The Beach' could potentially help, it of course would be temporary pleasure, but it's something,

'Yes, yes we will go.' I add up, smiling...
