Y/n's POV:
I was finishing up with the emails,
That soft-angelic voice was still replaying in my head...
I should not feel this inevitable pang of envy when I'm already married, when we went through a hell-bent of endures,
It's ridiculous...
However I cannot help myself, I am terrified to inquire him about it,
I trust him, more than anyone and he trusts me and that's how it should be,
But damn it. I felt ill...
Possibly it's just that heavy lump of trepidation and stress that has been affecting me lately,
Maybe it's just that...
I do love him and I have my undivided fidelity upon him,
So I should erase the absurd jealousy,
I'm sure it's nothing...

I was sat in the sofa,
The faint hues of the dark night were illuminating outside the windows,
The only light was coming from the mantle piece as the flames waltzed together ad in unison,
I was clad in a blanket, tea on the side table and a book in my hands,
The smoothing warmth from the fire lolled over my pages, allowing me to see them,
My breath halted once the main character was endeavouring a life threatening situation,
As then,
I feel strong-warm hands wrapping around my waist from the back as his hair tickled my cheek,
He leaned over behind the sofa, his eyes set on me,
His lips trailed down from my cheek to my jaw,
'I missed you love...' He mumbled merely,
His hands then trace lower, caressing me softly,
'I just need to finish the chapter...' I mutter, invested into the ink on the paper,
'Finish it to me, in bed, it's late...'
He then walks in front of me, scooping me over in his hands and taking me up the stairs, my eyes are still glued to the book,
'You won't even look at me?' He asks,
I then glance at him, his eyes glinting as I smile,
'I will...I am right now.' I say, he takes the book from my hands as I exclaim,
'I said, you will read it to me.' He smirks,
'You don't even know what it's about.'
'I don't care, I just want to hear your voice, do you know how draining it was without you beside me?' He asks rhetorically,
I feel my cheeks heating up, rending in crimson as I cock my head aside,
His index finger then tips my chin and pulls it back to face him,
'Don't do this princess, I've missed you more than anything, and I want to see you...all of you.' He states, taking me to the bedroom...

After finishing with each tidbit,
I was laying between Rafe's legs, my head resting on his chest as his hands rested on my waist and in my hair, stroking and caressing it,
I recited the final chapter, however I felt his eyes on me the most,
'And then...the sole hamartia was the little caterpillar that was eating out her beauty, and leaving pure ideas of betrothals rather than devotion...'
I finished it...
Stunned,
'Did you like the book?' He asks, kissing the top of my head,
'I...it was nice...'
'Is there a sequel for it?' He asks,
'It's not published yet.'
'Do you want me to write it for you?' He asks, my eyes widen as I raise my eyes to look at him above me,
'You wouldn't...' I jokingly beam as he nods,
'Is that an assumption or a potential challenge?' He asks,
'I don't know...you tell me?'
'Watch me precious.' He says, kissing my forehead...
He wouldn't...right?
——
The next day, me and Rafe decided to quickly go to the office, since we were planning to later go to the restaurant,
Walking towards the office, I saw a blonde girl with a high ponytail on,
Her uniform was hugging her entire body,
She looked beautiful,
However my eyes widened the instant I heard her angelic voice talking to one of the colleagues,
That same laugh,
It was her, and she really was beautiful...
Hey eyelashes fluttered and her cheeks turned vermilion once she saw Rafe leading me inside the office, closing the door after us,
I glance at him as he tilt his head,
'You alright darling?' He asks, I nod,
I am alright...
I am...
