It's been a week since I first felt the mist in my head and it's happened every day since. I'm not really sure what the mist means and I haven't told anyone yet. The mist has gotten thicker and thicker though and it happens at different times each day. I have also had dreams I can't remember but I wake up feeling bad feelings. Like something bad happened in my dream but I can't remember it. The harder I try, the more I forget. The bad feeling has gotten stronger just like the mist has.

I pick a random dress just trying to get to breakfast quickly so I can go to the library after. I want to see if I can find any books on dreams and try to learn how to remember them when I wake up if I can. I grab a plate and pick things I can eat quickly before sitting down in a spot closest to the hall entrance. Loki sits next to me right as I take my first bite of food.

"Are you in a hurry, Kyrie?"

I nod and say, "I am going to the library."

"Of course you are. What will you be reading today?"

I shrug and say, "I'm not sure yet. I need to look through books first." I gobble down another bite before he's taken one.

Loki raises an eyebrow at me but doesn't say anything and I keep eating. I am halfway done with my plate when my mom laughs.

"Are you going to the library today, sweetheart?" I nod and she says, "You can do other fun things on the days you don't have lessons, you know."

"Maybe I'll go out to swim or I'll practice my drawing. Maybe go horseback riding. I don't know yet," I say quickly before stuffing more food in my mouth.

She laughs again and shakes her head but Loki just stares at me as he eats. I finish before them, which doesn't happen a lot, and Loki looks up at me in surprise as I hand my plate to someone who helps clear the tables. She smiles at me and I smile back before saying bye to my mom and Loki and scurrying out of the hall.

I get to the library and stop at the entrance wondering how I'm supposed to find a book on weird mist in my head. How would anyone even look for that? I start looking through books I haven't read the titles to try and find anything I can on dreams, I can look for mist things later. I'm reading the titles as quickly as I can when I hear a voice behind me.

"You seem to be rushing, Kyrie, and not just to read an interesting book. Is something wrong?"

"Maybe you can hurry up and learn how to move around with someone else with you. It would save time for us," I say without looking behind me.

Loki grabs the hand I am using to keep track of the titles I read and I look up at him. He frowns and says, "What is wrong? You are acting odd this morning."

I look down and say, "Nothing. I'm fine."

He plops down on the ground and gets comfortable like he's not going anywhere and I sigh. "I am starting to learn how you lie, Kyrie. You barely spoke at the table, and when you did, you sounded like someone was chasing you."

When I still don't say anything, he nudges my foot with his and says, "I am your best friend. You can tell me anything you know. This is what best friends are for."

I sit down in front of him and say, "This is going to sound weird but there's something happening to me."

His eyes widen but he doesn't say anything so I tell him about the mist and the dreams that I can't remember that leave me feeling weird.

"What do you feel when you wake up?"

"I feel like I'm heavy or like I can't figure out a problem or something."
