Part One - A New Beginning (Loki x Reader)

     I leave the hall after eating what I could and after I promised to find Lady Sif out on the training grounds after Loki comes to find me in the library. I make my way to the room I share with my mom first. I grab the book on magic that Queen Frigga wants me to finish reading before I really start training to use my magic. I get to the library and sit on the window seat. I don't even finish a chapter when Loki comes walking in. I put my bookmark in my place and close the book and Loki comes to sit next to me.

     "Did you eat breakfast, Kyrie?"

     "Of course I did. Did you find your mom?"

     "Yes. She actually needs me to go back so I can come to tell you what she sees after she does a scrying spell. I do not know how long it will take."

     "I'll go find Lady Sif then and train with her while I wait then. She asked me during breakfast if I wanted to train with her today. I told her that you had told me to come wait for you in the library after you found your mom. She told me when I was done, I could go look for her on the training grounds and she can give me a lesson."

     "Just stay in the garden we usually train at, Kyrie. It will help me get to you quicker when I am done. If I am not done before lunchtime, go straight to the hall and back so I can get to you."

     "I'll take this book back to my room first before I go find Lady Sif. Good luck, Loki."

     "Thank you. While you train, focus on what is happening in the lesson. I will come with news as soon as I can."

     Loki knocks on the door to his mother's chambers for the second time that day. Eira, another one of his mother's handmaidens, opens the door for him this time. She gestures for him to come in and closes the door behind him when he does. Queen Frigga stands and walks over to him as he makes his way towards her and they meet halfway.

     "She will be training with Lady Sif in one of the gardens until it is time for lunch. I told her to go straight to the hall if I do not get back before then."

     "Shall we then, my son?"

     Loki follows his mother to the door and Queen Frigga tells Eira that they are going to the room where she has had Loki practice his magic.

     "I shall come back here first when we are done. Only come to the room if there is urgent news."

     Eira curtsies and says, "Yes, your Majesty."

     Queen Frigga and Loki make their way to the spellwork room. Loki opens the door for her and lets her go in first before closing the door behind them.

     "Remember Loki, we may not be able to help in any way. From what I have seen, there is nothing we can do but delay the weaving of the path this reality has come to."

     "I understand, mother. But we can try, at least."

     Queen Frigga smiles sadly down at her son before she nods.

     "Then try we shall."

     I find Lady Sif in the outdoor training grounds and we make our way back to the smaller garden Loki and I train in when it's just the two of us. I tell Lady Sif that we're going to train in a different spot as we make our way back inside the castle.

     "Why a different garden today?"

     "Well, usually we try and train in different spots so we don't damage the grass too badly and give it time to recover. We train in the bigger one when there's three of us and since it's just us, we can go to a smaller one."
