(i wrote this chapter in first person because it was easier that way, but it'll usually be in third person )

it was around 2am when i woke up to loud buzzing noises. it stopped after a minute, but it woke me up.

i turned to the side to see vinnie asleep next to me. i smiled at him before his phone started to ring. again.

i got up and walked over to it, in hopes of turning the ringer off , but was shocked to see that hailey was the one calling him. "why is she calling him this late?" she thought to herself.

i scoffed in confusion before turning to walk away, and thats when i heard more notifications. i looked and saw that it was hailey texting him. i unlocked his phone and scrolled through his messages with her. she'd been texting him, non-stop. apparently, they were a bit too friendly.

VINNIE'S MESSAGES

i need you right now

i was hurt when i saw her messages. how could my own friend do this to me? how could my boyfriend cheat on me?

i was so embarrassed and shocked after reading those messages so, i decided to just leave. our sleepover was over.

the girl picked up her stuff and left abruptly, making sure she didn't make too much noise. she got in her car and drove home. "would vinnie be upset in the morning?" she thought to herself, but that didn't stop her from driving home.

the whole car ride was her alone, deep in her thoughts and before she knew it, tears were streaming down her face. "stop crying." she said to herself.

"its not your fault. you love him so, maybe theres an e-explanation." she said to herself as her voice cracked.

eventually, she got to the apartment. she quickly went to her room and shut the door before climbing into the bed. she grabbed the pillows and tried to go to sleep, but all she thought about was how her boyfriend and and best friend hurt her.

when i woke up the the next day i didn't want to check my phone, but i knew i had to. there were so many messages.

i read and replied to all messages except vinnie's. how could he say that misses me when he's clearly been hiding something?

avani and payton wanted meet up for lunch so, i got ready before meeting up with her.
