Winter's POV
We ran down the stairs quickly. I took ahead of the others. There was a huge possibility that there was help outside.
I pushed the door open, almost knocking it down. There was a light in the middle of the street, as well as a ear-bleeding beating.
A helicopter was in the sky, shining its light down into the abandoned city. I ran out into the middle of the street, into the light.
My eyes were in pain from the brightness, but I waved my arms to let them know that there were people here.
The others ran out into the light and started waving their hands with me. The helicopter started to fly downwards.
It landed on the ground with a thud. Two people got out and helped us into the helicopter. I got in to see Russo looking at us with tired but angry eyes.
We all sat down in the helicopter. "So, you guys still in one piece after the events?" I nodded and leaned onto Sabrina's shoulder while wearing her sweatshirt. Her arm wrapped around me.
"We'll be heading to Georgia. You guys good with that?" I looked at the others. "My family has lived their our whole lives. My dad would he devastated if he found out we went somewhere other than Georgia."
The others nodded. "Georgia it is." We took off, and I started to drift to sleep. I was hesitant, but we were leaving. Nothing bad had to happen, right?
I was in the flower field again. Oh no. I looked around. Nothing out of the ordinary. Something seemed different though. It felt... calmer.
I stood up, confused. "Somethings supposed to happen. Come at me demons!" I looked around. I saw someone by the tree that always stood on the hill.
"Hey, you!" I ran up the hill towards the tree. It was a shadow figure with long hair and a long dress sitting by the tree.
"Winter, sit down." This shadow figure was different from the demons I've been seeing. I decided to sit down. "So uh... what's supposed to happen next?"
The shadow figure smiled. "You'll see." She grabbed my hand. "Close your eyes." I closed my eyes. What was going to happen. I was frightened to death to open them.
"You can open your eyes now." I slowly opened my eyes to see a strangely recognizable girl. Long, white hair and a white, flowy dress.
She was sitting at a desk, sobbing. She kept looking at a photo of her and... me? "What happened to you? Where are you?" The girl murmured.
The girl stood up and walked away from the desk. I was teleported to a backyard, where the girl stood with a lighter.
She had a cigarette in her mouth. It fell out, but the girl didnt notice. All of a sudden, the whole half side of her face was on fire. She was screaming in pain.
My surroundings faded away, and I was back in the flower field. "How did she know me?!" I was very shocked.
"Think Winter. She was very dear to you." I thought hardly. That looked like... "That was Li..." I looked at the shadow figure. The half of her face was on a shadowy fire, like the one that Li had.
"Li!?" I hugged her tightly. "I knew you were a strange shadow figure, but I would have never known it was you!" She hugged me back.
"I'm sorry I didnt tell you." I then remembered something. "Wait... how could DJ see you? He doesnt even have any idea you exist Li!" She smiled.
"Simple. He hurt you, but regretted his mistakes. I was the one who helped him and Sabrina escape that night." I smiled.
"Thank you." Li stood up. "Times up... this is the last time we'll see each other for a long time..." My eyes widened. "Wait, no! Please!"
Everything went black. I opened my eyes to a neat room. I sat up. I was in a hospital bed. Nothing seemed to have changed. Had the Florida accident been a dream?
I looked down to see I was still wearing Sabrina's sweatshirt. It wasnt a dream alright. Where was she? Where were the others for that matter.
There was a lady sitting next to me. "Good morning, sweetheart. I suppose your still in shock from the events in Florida." I nodded yes.
"Wheres Sabrina..." The lady smiled. "Your friends are getting proper treatment. Your strong to have survived something like that."
I smiled. I didnt feel that strong, but I wasnt going to tell her that right here and now. "Why dont you watch some television, and I'll be back in a bit." She walked out, and I grabbed the remote.
I scrolled through multiple channels until something caught my eye. A news channel. I didnt really like news channels, but the news being shown shook me.
"Last night over 60 thousand people got a notification that a stream had been unpaused. But they weren't expecting what they saw. Three people that were in the ruins of Florida were on the stream. These three, along with two others who had been there for almost a month, are currently in the hospital receiving treatment."
There was a picture of me, Kreek, and Sabrina. I wasnt confused. News channels would report on anything they could. I turned off the television.
There would be people asking me questions, I knew that much. But what about my dad? That didn't matter right now, since I'm safe.
