A few weeks had passed since that faithful incident. Just as Alcina had said, Matt did not remember the blood feeding.
He was again working in the gardens today, plowing the fields and destroying any dead plants. Just like the Lady ordered him to. He was almost done when he took a moment to catch his breath. It was a cold and windy day, something he had gotten used too. Since he did a lot of manuals labor, the cold didn't bother him too much but the sweat he felt on his skin soon became a nasty and annoying feeling. So he stopped and wiped the sweat away from his head.
And then he heard it.
A high-pitched, female scream, followed by several playful laughters.
Matt stood there in horror, staring up to the tower where he was sure the sounds came from. He was in shock and unable to move. He stared at the tower, not moving a single muscle. Matt waited for another sound, a shadow, a person appearing or a light going on or off. But nothing happened. Absolute silence except for the strong wind. And yet, he once again got the strong feeling that he was being watched.
He wanted to run to Lady Dimitrescu immediately but knowing her, she would be upset if didn't finish his work and so that's what he did. But as soon as he was gone he rushed to her chambers and knocked.
"Come in." He opened the door. "Oh, it's you." she said, surprised to see him.
"Sorry to disturb you. If you are busy I can come back later." Matt told her. She was sitting in front of a vanity mirror and did her make-up. She was also wearing a colorful silk robe, which was a stark contrast to her usual attire.
"No no, now is a good moment. Come in and close the door please, I'm about to try on a new dress I ordered. It's alright really, take a seat. I don't mind having some company."
Matt closed the door and saw down next to Alcina, observing her while she put on her red lipstick. "This shade is my favorite." She turned to Matt after she was done. "Do you like a woman wearing make-up? Or do you prefer it all natural?"
He thought about it. "Depends on the type of woman."
Alcina smiled happily at him. "Now THIS is the right answer."
"I was raised to be an honest person, always."
"Oh dear, I really found myself a poor little thing, did I?" she giggled. "A precious jewel, completely untouched and not corrupted. Speaking of jewels..." She opened a small jewelry box filled to the brim with items. "What to wear? Precious gems, silver, gold or pearls." Alcina showed Matt the different items. "Help me, dear. What do you think compliments my skin better?"
"Pearls. You wore them on the day we met and... I like the white color on you."
Alcina smiled and put on her pearl necklace, it really did fit in with her already pale skin. She also noticed her young gardener boy staring at her. "Something wrong, my dear?"
Matt blinked out of his trance. "Forgive me, Mylady. I'm just surprised to see you on such a colorful robe. It's so... well. Different."
"Oh? Do you like it? It's made out of pure silk from a chinese atelier. It was quite expensive since they had to use so much of it but it just feels soooo good on my skin." She pulled the robe slightly to the side, showing of more of her breast and revealing that she wasn't wearing anything underneath.
Matt felt the blood rushing to his cheeks - and not just there. He was getting more and more aroused and embarrassed as well. This was his employer but he couldn't help it, she was just so pretty.
And Alcina loved seeing him like this, when lust and shame were all mixed up together and visible on his face. "I'm going to try on my new dress now." she said.
"I... I wait outside then." he stood up.
Lady Dimitrescu smiled at him. "Where are you going, sit down. I'm going to change behind the folding screen. What were you thinking, darling?" she giggled and went to change. Only the head showed over the screen. "So what do you wanted to talk to me about?"
Matt was so distracted that he nearly forgot about all that. "Mylady I heard a scream coming from the East tower. I think something terrible has happened."
To his surprise, Alcina remained completely calm. "Probably just my daughters. They like to play after their lessons are finished."
"No Mylady, I really think that someone is in danger. We should check it out and..."
Alcina interrupted and tried to calm him down. "Sweetheart I think you are just very, very tired and stressed. Maybe you could work inside the house for a few days. The garden is in good condition now, no need to stay so many hours outisde in the cold weather conditions. I'm surprised you didn't catch anything while working in this terrible weather."
Matt was silent for a moment before carefully asking. "So I... should we...?"
"Rest assured, if someone was attacked on my property I would know about it." She looked down on him and smiled. For some reason she felt bad lying to him and decided to tell him the truth... kinda. "But I can assure you that everything was fine when you heard that sound. You know what I think? I think it was just a sound in the wind that you mistook for a human scream."
"Shouldn't we... at least take a look in the tower? Just to make sure?" he carefully asked.
"No need for that. The Tower was sealed off years ago, the wooden stairs are unstable and a fire hazard. No one goes there."
"But what if..."
"Shhh." she said in a gentle voice. "Relax, take it easy. You are doing a great job and don't need to impress me, even though it's clear you want to."
The young boy blushed and looked away. "I'm just... worried."
"Hm. You just need some time to relax. Living in this castle... makes the mind wonder a little bit." She reemerged from behind the folding screen and showed off her victorian-style dress. "Can you help me with the button on the back please?"
"O-Of course. Let me get on that ottoman first." Matt said and got it.
Alcina waved it off. "I'm used to this kind of inconvenience." When he buttoned up, she took a look over her shoulder. "Careful my dear, it's very delicate." she whispered.
Matt felt his finger brush over her perfect porcelain skin. He skin was as soft as that of a baby, incredible! And the smell... oh that perfume could sent someone into a coma.
"Thank you." She took a look in the mirror. "Oh yes. That's perfect." She saw that the boy was still leaning close to her. "Oh do you like my perfume?"
"Yes, Mylady. It smells like roses... lavender and honey."
"Hmm... seems like my perfume isn't the only think you like about me." she said, looking down to the giant bulge in his pants.
Catching on to her, Matt quickly stepped down and put his hands over his crotch to cover it up. "Mylady I'm so sorry! I didn't..."
"Hush, it's alright my dear. I know the effect I have on men and some women. In fact, I'm flattered." She laughed when she saw how embarrassed he was, again. "Alright, I think I've had enough fun with you today. You may leave now, I have some business I need to attend to this evening."
When he reached the door, Matt turned around. "I see you tomorrow then?"
Alcina smiled back at him. "Of course you will. Good night." She blew him a kiss and winked.
Matt closed the door and returned to his room, letting himself fall down onto the bed. Many thought were running through his head but, most importantly, Alcina did not manage to convince him. He definitely heard a scream, he was sure about that.
And tomorrow he would check it out himself.
