You go with Frankie and Santiago on a job. Things end up out of control and dangerous.

You think none of you will make it back alive. Frankie surprises you by stating he's in love with you.

Swearing and violence.

You never liked going on jobs. They were messy, bloody and occasionally things went south in a hurry. But...you also have a soft spot for Frankie Morales.

You follow Frankie and Santiago out to the car, which will take you to where Santiago has a helicopter waiting.

"You can still back out," Frankie murmurs softly in your ear before you both get into the car.

"Then who's gonna look after your sorry ass?" You smirk at Frankie. He flashes a grin and you touch his dimples.

"I guess you make a valid point."

"All right, you two!" Santiago calls out. "Let's roll!"

You've never been a big fan of riding in helicopters. They're noisy and uncomfortable. Anyone who thinks riding in a helicopter is so cool, has clearly never ridden in one.

You sit behind Frankie, wishing that Santiago was the pilot, so that you could hold one of Frankie's hands.

You didn't realize just how much you cared about him until a couple of months ago, when you nearly lost him.

Frankie had been shot in the leg and although it wasn't a deep gunshot wound, he still ended up bleeding quite a bit and you worried he might bleed to death.

Of course, you should have known it would take more than that to take down Francisco Morales. He is one tough son of a bitch.

You gaze listlessly out the chopper windows and hope that this time might be different.

Santiago leads you and Frankie into the house. You hold your weapon out, careful to keep it pointed at the ground unless you spot someone.

Most of the men who reside here have taken off, but the boss wasn't going to be stupid enough to just leave the place completely unguarded.

Santiago fires his weapon and so does Frankie. You haven't had to use yours yet but you're okay with that.

Santiago reaches the safe, which is the entire side of a wall and stats messing around with the lock. He finally cracks the code and opens up the safe door.

You and Frankie pull out a few duffel bags and start cramming stacks of cash into them. You hurry, wanting to get out of here as quickly as possible.

Once, you've all taken as much of the money as you want, you hurry out, it bothering to close the safe. It's always been Santiago's way. Kind of like a screw you to whomever you took the money from.

Just as you're all out of the house, gunfire rips through the air. And...you fall.

You've been hit.

Frankie tosses his bags to Santiago and gently scoops you up into his strong arms. You can feel the pain shooting up through your leg.

You grimace, trying to stay strong. It's not easy. The pain is nearly unbearable by the time Frankie puts you into the truck.

Santiago hurriedly loads up the rest of the duffel bags, while Frankie gets behind the wheel, starting up the truck. The second Santiago is in, Frankie peels out, as bullets rain down around you.

You must have passed out. When you come to, Frankie is leaning towards you, his face pale and drained. He takes your hand and offers you some water.

You drink slowly, as Frankie helps you. He tries to give you a smile, but you notice his mouth trembling. You squeeze his hand.

"I'm going to be okay, Catfish," you whisper, using his old nickname.

"I...know. You just scared the shit out of me, is all."

"You mean like you did to me on the last job?" Frankie stares at you. Then...he's gently kissing you. You lean into him.

"I think I love you, Y/N."

"No shit, Sherlock." Frankie sits down and wraps one of his arms around you carefully.

"Do you love me?"

"Yeah, Fish, I really do. Do me a favor?"

"Anything."

"Kiss me again?" Frankie laughs. Then he kisses you again.

"Maybe we should consider giving up this damn lifestyle, huh?" You suggest.

"Yeah, I think I could go for that."
