And after receiving this information, we stopped on another deserted island on our journey. Previously, we had sent a coded message to all the other members of our team with the coordinates to this particular island. Since then we have been waiting...
I am curious what the others have done over the years and what they will tell, because it had not been possible for us to be in contact with each other all this time without endangering each life's immediately. All I know is that Niall bought his own island and has been living there ever since. What the others are doing? No idea.
"What are you thinking about, love?" Harry's deep voice sounded, and at the same moment he wrapped his arms around me from behind. I didn't even notice how he stepped up to me on the terrace of the beach house where we had been living for a few days, I was probably too absorbed in my thoughts.
"About the others, do you think they will accept our invitation and really come here?" I asked him, at the same moment Harry planted a soft kiss on the back of my head. "What if they didn't get the messages at all or are in trouble? Or what if they don't want to have anything to do with us anymore?" it bubbled out of me nervously as I turned to look Harry in the eye.
But the corners of his mouth only twitched into a smirk, he was apparently amused by my thoughts. "Harry, I'm serious." I glared at him, frowning.
"Baby, you worry way too much unnecessarily." he tried to reassure me. "They'll come." He leaned down toward me, his arms still wrapped around me and mine now sliding up his bicep. The warmth of his skin under my fingertips was a soothing feeling.
"You sure?" I asked, pouting. Harry's face turned into a bright smile and he nodded.
"I'm sure." he whispered before closing the gap between our lips and giving me a gentle kiss. I still love kissing him, it triggers the same heart fluttering in me as the first time. When he parted our lips, he lifted his head to the level of my ear and whispered, "Turn around and you can greet the first ones."
I stared at him, perplexed, until I finally caught myself and turned around in a flash. Fuck, he was right. A speed boat was approaching the island at breakneck speed and almost silently, no wonder I hadn't noticed its presence.
Harry laughed at my astonished expression and I felt the vibration of it throughout my body. "Baby, when did you get so out of practice?" he teased with a wicked smile.
"Shut up, I'm retired." I replied with a shove against his chest, but Harry didn't care at all and didn't move a bit away from me, instead he gave me another kiss on the lips.
When the boat docked at the old pier, I ran down the beach to the water, while Harry calmly followed me.
"Ashely!" I could already hear Layla calling loudly as I got closer. She was waving wildly at me with both hands, her blonde hair blowing in the wind and her skin glistening tanned in the sun, it seemed like she had been on vacation for a while.
She wore a black very tight bikini top and short hotpants, on her nose she wore tinted glasses and I immediately noticed the bangs that she has probably newly cut, at least I had not seen them yet.
"You whore, why didn't you tell me earlier how nice your life is since you died? Then I would have faked mine shortly after." she exclaimed as we fell into each other's arms and both started laughing happily.
