Neo is in front of the door that lets you into the portal. He puts the key inside and turns it. Instead of another room, from left to right there's an endless white, clean hallway of doors. He walks right. Eventually he runs and then flies. He comes to the end of the hallway although there is another one right to left again it seems endless on the left side, but the end of the right side is about ten doors away. He walks to the door at the very end and opens it with the door. Neo enters that same building where the door to the architect leads to. Although the keymaker explained that all of the doors take you to places, but only one of them lead to the architect. One of doors, also lead back home, to the real world.
All that Neo sees is code, so he knows which door to enter. He immediately looks to his left. He looks at the door and inserts that same key. It opens and inside is a white spotless room which was enormous. In the center was a small table with a telephone on it. The table was perfectly simple and si was the telephone. Just as he steps into the room, the telephone begins to ring. Neo only looks at it, observing, and slowly begins to walk. He touches the handle of the phone and says
"Trinity, I will find you."
Neo answers the telephone and everything is gone.
. . .
"Hello, hello, HELLO!" Neo looks up as he opens his eyes and sees a young girl. She looks about sixteen or something. He looks at himself and he's wearing dirty old clothes like the ones Zionites wear.
"Where am I?" asks Neo, looking around.
"It's where are we to be precise." answers the girl. "We're in the Machine City. Where exactly, I don't know, but I do know that we're in a cell.
Neo looks around once more and notices that room is just a metal wall with a metal door. There are no windows at all. There's only a faint light, but where it was coming from, no one knows.
"Who are you?" asks Neo.
"My name is Air," replies the girl.
"Why are you here?'
"Back in Zion, everyone believed you were dead, since that's what the machines said. But I just couldn't believe it. It's an uneasy peace we're having, but it's better than nothing. So I saw one of the ships that were being built. It was a small one, but pretty fast. When it was finished, My friends and I stole it before a new Captain could name it anything. We were trained in the kind of stuff, so we flew it here. Plus, we managed to get Gate 3 open."
"I was the only one who volunteered to exit the ship and walk here. But the machines caught me. I just don't understand why they didn't kill me instead of putting me with you."
"Let's get out of here," said Neo.
"How? The door's obviously locked and I'm sure there are machines outside this door."
Neo looks at the door knob. In the Matrix, there was no spoon, there was nothing so he can do whatever he wanted to. But the Oracle said that the powers of The One extend beyond the Matrix. He holds the door knob, turns it and the door opens.
Air's eyes shine with "wow".
"Let's go. Are your friends still here?" asks Neo.
"They might, or might not be here, I was here for about a week I think. Don't ask what I ate."
Neo and Air enter a circular hallway entirely made of metal. There were other doors as well. They walk to the right.
Neo thinks for a moment when they reach the end of the hall. Suddenly, there are sirens.
"This way," said Neo, just as a machine enters through the other side of the hallway.
"Get behind me." And Air does just that.
It's a sentinel. Neo raises his right hand. The machine flies towards them but stops right in front of Neo, vibrates a lot, and falls to the floor, destroyed.
"Let's go," says Neo once more.
The two exit outside after a long series of dark and gloomy hallways. They see the sky above them, or rather the dark storm.
"What has the world become," Air whispers to herself.
They slowly walk to the edge of the city after an hour. They sneaked past everything.
"Where are the machines?" asks Air.
Suddenly, they hear a sound, it gets louder and louder. In a minute, an enormous hovercraft flies over them and lands. An elevator comes down and Neo and Air slowly enter.
"They didn't leave," says Air with tears in her eyes.
