My way, soon

"No way, no way in hell I'm waking her up.  I did it last time, Danny you do it this time." I heard Sam say.

"Absolutely not, you know how she can be in the morning, especially after a late night." Danny argued back.

"Well, someone has to! We have to get back and practice before our show tomorrow" I heard Josh chime in.

I laughed silently to myself, I wasn't that grumpy in the mornings, ok maybe a little.

"You are ALL waking me up!" I yelled out of my tent still laughing. It got quiet.

"Sorry Sloan" they all said in unison. I unzipped my tent and saw Jake crack a smile from the other side of the campsite as he packed his stuff to head back to the house.

 I quickly packed my bags and we all started making our way back to the house. The walk back was a little more challenging because it was uphill, not downhill like on the way to the campsite. Everyone stayed pretty quiet on the walk back, most of us still hungover from the night prior. I spent most of the walk thinking about what had happened and how I felt about it.  I was worried I was just a rebound after Hannah and we would just turn out to be a friends with benefits type situation.   Would that be such a bad thing?  I knew I had feelings for him but was it because he was literally the most attractive person I'd ever seen, or because I liked who he was personality wise too?  He always picked on me and it annoyed me to no end, but maybe that was just when he was with Hannah? He hadn't been rude or picked on me once since he got back, sure he said things to make me squirm but that was just a Jake thing.  I looked up after walking a while to see the Kiszka residence in the distance. Not looking where I was going, I slipped on a loose rock and fell to the ground. 

"Oh shit!" I heard from Sam as he ran up to check on me 

I sat up and instantly felt pain in my knee. I looked down to see that the ground and loose gravel had completely ripped through my pants and blood was running down my leg.  It was one of those scrapes that covered your whole knee with a few deeper cuts dispersed also.  My knee started to swell, I was sure I didn't break anything but it was definitely really sore.  

"Oh my gosh, Sloan are you ok?" Danny said as he and the rest of the group made their way over. all with concerned stares, but the most concerned look definitely came from Jake.  

"Yeah I'm ok," I said, taking Sammy's hand as he helped me try to stand. I winced when I put pressure on my hurt leg.  

Jake must have seen me because he came over and said "Here let us help" and motioned for Sammy to help him stabilize me for the rest of the walk back. 

"At least we are almost back" Josh said forcing a smile. Always the optimist.  

"What the hell did they do to you?!" Ronnie yelled as the boys helped me through the door and up the stairs. 

"Nothing," I laughed, "Just being my normal clumsy self" Jake Smiled and handed me off to Ronnie.  

"We are redoing my bathroom so I'll take you to Jake's," She said helping me down the hall. 

We made our way to the bathroom and she helped me to sit on the side of the tub.  I dropped my backpack to the ground.

"I'll be right back," she said disappearing, she came back around the corner handing me an oversized t-shirt dress. "I figured by the looks of that knee you wouldn't want to slide jeans or shorts over it once you get those off."  

"Thanks Ronnie, you're the best." I said as she started the shower 

"Please yell if you need anything, I'll be in my room." She said as she walked off.
