"Are you ready to go?" Mina asked, looking at herself in the mirror one last time.

Chaeyoung checked her pocket to see if she have her essentials: mostly just phone and wallet. "Yep." she replied to the taller girl.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Mina asked while they're walking. "It's still early for work, I can still drop you off."

It's been a while now since Chaeyoung have managed to do things on her own. Part of it is because that's what Seulgi is practicing her to be. Independent.

"No, it's okay." Chaeyoung shook her head. "I still have to drop by the café anyways."

"Oh. Okay. Then I'll go now." Mina smiled as they reached the block where they have to separate ways. "Text me when you get there."

"I will. Take care." Chaeyoung said waving her hand.

She watched as Mina disappear from her vision before starting to walk.

"Oh? Unnie? I thought it's your off today?" Yeji asked the older girl who just got inside the café. "We didn't know you'd come to work."

"I'm not." Chaeyoung smiled. "I just want to buy some iced Americano for someone."

"Is that someone named Mina?" Lia grinned, "Aish. You're so sweet unnie."

"Shut it." Chaeyoung looked at her in disbelief. "I'm ordering for someone else."

"I knew it!" Ryujin exclaimed pointing at Chaeyoung. "I got it from you."

Chaeyoung has no idea what Ryujin is talking about. But before she could ask the latter, Chaeryoung hits Ryujin's arm.

"Yah! Don't blame unnie for you being such a womanizer." Chaeryoung scoffed. "You're born to be a flirt so don't involve other people."

Chaeyoung let a small laugh roll out her mouth as she watch how Chaeryoung and Ryujin bicker, while Lia watches them with amusement but Yeji on the other hand just glared at Ryujin.

"I don't think they'll stop anytime soon so I'll take your order unnie." Yuna smiled at Chaeyoung brightly.

After getting two iced coffee, Chaeyoung bid her good bye to the girls and wish them good luck for the day. It's friday and usually, it's the busiest day of the week dor their café that Jeongyeon had to come to bake pies and cakes.

Chaeyoung got in the hospital just on time.

"Hi." She smiled, peeking at the half-opened door. Her head and hands holding the ice coffee out.

"Come in, Chaeng." Seulgi laughed. "Oh, is that for me?"

"Yeah. I can give you this right?" Chaeyoung asked, "It's not like I'm bribing you, right? This isn't a high value gift or anything so please take it."

"Fine." Seulgi sighed in relief. "Just don't expect me to treat you any better."

"What? You're already treating me better, Doc. Seulgi." Chaeyoung smiled genuinely as she puts the coffee above the girl's desk.

She can't imagine how much the older girl have helped her. From facing her fears to helping her be responsible and independent.

"Today, we need to focus on that day, Chaeng." Seulgi informed. "We need to fill those memories you loss about the day of the fire."

Chaeyoung breathed heavily while nodding in response to Seulgi. She knows she needs to do this sooner or later. But she can't shake off the fear of not knowing what she'll see. Chaeyoung knows better that she wouldn't or atleast her mind wouldn't forced itself to forget those events if it's not scary.

"I know you're scared for we don't know what you'll remember." Seulgi added. "But like what we've been doing ever since, you have to be brave and face them. And bare in mind, no matter what, you are safe and no one can harm you."

She repeated her therapist's words in her mind not wanting to ever forget a single one of them.

"Remember you told me on our first day you want to try the couch?" Seulgi grinned, "Now is the time to go and sit in there."

With that, Chaeyoung's face brighten so as her smile. She can't believe Seulgi remembered that. She followed the latter's command and sat on the couch.

"Actually, it would be really nice to relax right now." Seulgi added as she brings her chair beside the couch.

Chaeyoung was right. This couch is the softest couch she had ever tried. It's almost as if it's hugging her. When she heard Seulgi said she can relax, she waisted no time and remove her sneakers. She then lay her body down as she breathe out in satisfaction.

"Better." She smiled, closing her eyes.

"Right. Let's begin." Seulgi informed, "Just focus on my words. And again, remember, you are safe here and no one will harm you. I'll guide you, okay? Try not to censor what you'll see."

The room is now filled with silence. It is so silent that Chaeyoung could hear her heart beating. Her nostrils are invaded by the lavander scent that's coming off Seulgi's air purifier. Which reminds her of Mina.

" You are at your house." Seulgi started. And Chaeyoung, like what her therapist said, focused on the older girl's voice while she pictures the scenario on her mind.

"You walk out of your room. Where are you going?" Seulgi asked, trying to create the setting of their trance.

"I'm walking down to the kitchen.. Dad." Chaeyoung said and Seulgi saw how the younger girl's lips curved up.

"Can you describe to me what does your dad look like?"

"He is wearing his office uniform. And he is holding a cake. Our favorite cake from that bakery near his work." Chaeyoung described, "H-he put down the cake on the counter and held my arm. He looks angry. He is angry."

"What is he saying, Chaeng?"

"I- I can't hear." Chaeyoung started crying. "His grip is hurting me.. He looks very angry. He let go of me and now- now he is shouting. He's so mad, he's smashing- breaking glasses."

Seulgi watches as Chaeyoung slightly flinched by saying the word. The girl must've been remembering the broken glasses she feared so much. "Focus on what he is saying, Chaeng."

"I'm trying, but all I hear is angry screams, and I feel like I can't breathe.. He's so mad now! Oh! He broke the wine glass, dad! He is looking at me. He's pointing it at me."

"Pointing what?"

"The broken wine bottle." Chaeyoung responded, "He's pointing it at me, and he's so angry."

"No! Dad! No!" the younger girl screamed as her tears fall uncontrollably. "Oh my God! Daaaad!"

"What happened Chaeyoung?" Seulgi asked, but the girl just keeps shaking her head. "Chaeyoung?"

"Daaaaad!" Chaeyoung sat up from the couch and breathed heavily.

"Hey, you're safe. You're safe." Seulgi assured and Chaeyoung just shook her head still.

After giving Chaeyoung a bottled water, to help her calm down Seulgi asked again, "What happened in there, Chaeng? Come on, you know you can trust me. And I told you you don't have to censor anything."

Chaeyoung looked at Seulgi in the eyes, she knows what the latter said was true. She can trust Seulgi. But the older girl's figure started to blur in Chaeyoung's visiom once more as tears come flooding back.

"I don't know.. The next thing I know is that.. H-he's laying on the ground.." Chaeyoung stuttered. "Then the fire started  because of the candle and when I looked at him, his- his h-head was b-bleeding.. Seulgi unnie..

I killed my dad."
