Spook 26 - The three clock keepers P.4

Hanako-kun said..

"So you three make up school mystery no.1, and Mirai is the clock keeper who governs the future. We need to stop her from doing anymore damage than she's already done. You and I both want to catch her so let's team up for this one."

"Fine. Even if I do detest murderers."

And so..

It wasn't the friendliest of arrangements,

But we joined forces once more!

"Still.." a voice from the students council room said. "How do we catch her..?" The voice was Yashiro's. "Oh! Can't you use your power to freeze her, Akane-kun?"

"That's it!" Kou beamed.

"It won't work.. Mirai is immune to my time freeze. And you just saw how ridiculously fast she is. If we just give her free rein for a while, she might get it out of her system and come back on her own, but.."

"But in the meantime, all of our friends.."

"And can we really put everyone back to normal?"

"Don't worry about that.. The rotten old man will work that out." Akane said. "But if we let her run free. There's a small possibility she'll do something to Ao-chan..When I think of what could happen to her, I.. I'm not sure I can maintain my sanity.." Akane broke the glass cup that was in his hand.

Yashiro showed a picture of Aoi to Akane to calm him down. Kou and (Y/n) looked over to Hanako, who was being awfully quiet.

"What's wrong, Hanako?" Kou handed a piece of candy to Hanako.

"Yeah Hanako-kun, you've been awfully quiet." (Y/n) said.

"Hmm?"

"Are you thinking about what Akane-senpai said to you?" (Y/n) asked.

"Nevermind that." Hanako looked at the two. "Do you hear a lot of noise, or is it just me?"

"Now that you mention it." Kou said.

"I think I do hear something."

"Actually it sounds like."

Crunching was heard in the room, more specifically in the bag of candy.

"Tee hee hee, Stupid heads!" Mirai said.

(Y/n) latched onto Hanako.

Mirai bounced away while everyone tried to catch her.

Yashiro reached for her. But fell.

Hanako reached for her. But failed.

(Y/n) reached for her. And failed.

Hanako reached for her again. But fell on top of (Y/n). Mirai stomped on the two, and Hanako shielded (Y/n).

"Slow pokes." Akane muttered. He got kicked in the face by Mirai. "You little.."

Mirai giggled. Everyone tried to catch Mirai, but in the end they were all out of breath. Hanako was shielding (Y/n),she found it odd but said nothing. Hanako let go of (Y/n) and raced to catch Mirai, Akane also raced to catch Mirai. They hit heads.

"She's getting away again!" (Y/n) yelled.

Kou grabbed Mirai by her hair. "Don't underestimate me, school mystery. You got me last time but I know all your tricks-"
