Adley's POV
As soon as I walk into the Institute training area dad and uncle Alec come up to me.

"Adley, I have a few kids in training and I need a Shadowhunter with demon hunting experience and I was wondering if you could help me. What do you say?" Uncle Alec asks me

"Yeah I'll help, how much experience in training do they have exactly?" I ask them

"Well they're all like 8-12 so they're at a lower level than you." Dad explains to me

"Alright, that sounds easy enough." I say "Perfect, thank you so much Adley. Can you actually start that today?" Uncle Alec asks me "Yeah sure, no problem" I tell him and he takes me to the room.

"You sure you're ok with this?" Dad checks with me "Dad, I'm fine with it." I tell him while looking at him in the eyes.

"Alright, come with me Adley." Uncle Alec says and I follow him to the room and see all the kids in there and there's only 12 so not that bad. "You sure you're ready for this?" Uncle Alec checks one more time.

"Uncle Alec, I promise you this is a good idea." I tell him and we go in the front of the room side by side.

"Hey guys, can you come to the front please?" Uncle Alec asks them and they do exactly that, good listeners. "This is my niece, Adley Herondale, and she is going to help you guys with me." Uncle Alec introduced me to them.

"Thee Adley Herondale, is it true that you've been possessed recently and it happened more than once?!" One of the kids asks me and uncle Alec and I look at each other.

"It is" I tell them and they all look impressed but it's not something that's so cool to happen.

"Guys, it's not something that's cool. It was very scary for her and it's a very dangerous thing to happen." Uncle Alec advises them and I smile at him as a thank you and he nods at me. "Alright you guys, let's continue with what we were working on last time. Your form and positioning on holding the blade. It's more important than you think." They all grab their blades and get into position by teaming up in teams of two. "Perfect and go" Uncle Alec demands and they start hitting their blades.

"Bring back memories?" Uncle Alec asks me "Yeah, it does, it's kind of nostalgic." I tell him and he smiles at me and I just watch the kids.

"Not gonna lie, when I was teaching you in your class... I'm also not just saying this because you're my niece but you were the best in your class. You beat everyone at everything." Uncle Alec applauses me and I smile back at him.

"I mean I couldn't possibly take all the credit for the hard work that paid off. You guys at least deserve more than half of it." I tell him "You're not wrong their Adley." He agrees and we notice one of the kids is having trouble holding the end on the blade properly.

"Looks like it's time to assist." I tell him and I go up to the guy. "Here, try having your fingers go around like this and hold super tight." I help him while fixing his fingers in the right position. I back up and they go back to training.

"Thank you Adley, it's much better." He tells me and I smile at him and go back to uncle Alec.

"Told you that you would be good at this. Maybe you should help me more often?" Uncle Alec offers
