"Come on! We're going to be late!" The girl threw Sanehiro his coat and rushed out the door. "Our boss is gonna kill us if we're late again!"

She got in the police car and sped off as soon as her husband closed his door.

The woman sped up as soon as she was on the road. "Slow down, asshole! You're going way too fast! You're speeding!" Her husband yelled.

"Oh shut up, dipshit! The only thing that will be speedy is our boss' decision to fire us if we don't hurry the fuck up!"

Thankfully, no one was at the street corner the two were assigned, so they were safe. Well, no one except for the man's subordinate. Sanhiro jumped out of the police car and adjusted his cap, hugging his best friend tightly.

The two had met while in a heated battle with knife wielding criminals. They both earned several scars that night. The woman thought her beloved Sanhiro would die that week in the hospital. Of course, he pulled through and the two had been best friends ever since. Some might say they look like brothers!

The woman rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat. A boy flipped over the hood of the car and ran off, apologizing over his shoulder.

"That must be the one we got seven reports about." The woman said, turning to her husband and his best friend.

"For a moment, I thought you ran him over! That punk!" The husband fumed. The woman got out the car and bowed gracefully.

"You two go easy on him. He looks young." Sanhiro and his friend got in the car and chased after the boy.

"Do you usually just let them run away with your car like that?" A familiar voice teased.

"Oh! Sis, it's great to see you again!" She squeezed her pink-haired sister tightly and smiled. "How's the diner going?"

The sister laughed. The woman waved to her brother-in-law gleefully. He pulled down his mask and smiled sheepishly, waving back.

"I'll stop by at the end of my shift if you're still open! M'Kay?"

"Auntie!" The woman's five nieces all screamed together, tackling her and making her fall to the ground.

"Hey, kiddos! Auntie's on duty right now, and I've gotta try and catch up with Uncle Sanhiro! They took my car, again! Can you believe that?!" She pinched one of the kid's cheeks and chuckled.

"Took? You gave him the car!" She laughed when the woman dropped her hands from the girl's face.

"Yeah! I saw so!" Her brother cheered.

"Oh, you guys caught me!" The woman threw her hands in the air, stood, and picked up the girl. "I'll come say hi tonight, okay?" She kissed her forehead and handed her to her mother.

"Pinkie swear?" The girl asked, raising an eyebrow and holding out her pinkie.

"Pinkie swear."

"All right, kids. Let's get a move on. Auntie has to get back to work!" The sister ushered her children along and smiled over her shoulder.

When the woman walked all the way to the middle school, Sanhiro was yelling at the kid still.

"Okay, okay, that's enough." She kissed her husbands cheek and pat the little boy in the head.

He looked up at her with his innocent brownish-red eyes and she wiped his tears away.

"I'm so sorry. What's your name?"

"Sumihiko Kamado..."

"Well, Sumihiko, what my friend here is trying to say is that he's just worried. Okay?" She bent down and cupped the boy's hands in her own. "Sumihiko, try to be more careful from now on, okay? Getting yourself hurt would be a tragedy. Run along to class now!"

She watched the boy run off and join his brother as they entered the school.

"Wow! You're really pretty!" Some boy yelled, drool falling from his mouth. "I'm Yoshiteru Agatsuma, want to be my wife?!"

She chuckled. "I'm already married, and I'm much too old for you. You'll find someone some day!"

Sanehiro cracked his knuckles. "Lay off my wife, brat!" He yelled, making the poor kid cry and hide behind his sister.

"Sorry about him! I'm Toko! If he bothers you again, please let me know! Have a-!" She grunted as she dragged her brother by his wrist. "Great day!"

"Sanehiro... you can't get jealous over some little kid." The woman pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed.

A man ran into her, cutting her lecture short. He fell back on his butt with a grunt. "Oh, sorry!" She whirled around and helped him up.

"It's no big deal! For I am Aoba Hashibira! Only the smartest man to ever walk this planet!" The man cackled and ran off inside the building.

Huh. Must be a teacher. How peculiar.

"Maybe let's get out of the middle of the school gate?" Sanehiro recommended.

"I think that's a great idea." The subordinate chuckled and the three stood in the shade of the school gate's wall.

They watched a boy with short, black hair walk into the gates followed by his friends- a boy with mid-length, strawberry blonde hair and a girl with bright, blue eyes and shoulder length black hair.

The woman waved to her friend, a teacher at the middle school. Her older sister was with her and they both waved back. "Your hair looks nice today!" The woman called to her friend.

"Thank you!" She called back, smiling brightly. Her hair was short in the back accompanied by a pretty bow, and chin length in the front, dyed purple at the tips. Her sister's was all the way down her back and always had two pretty bows on either side.

A boy with bright yellow hair and red tips pushed through them and yelled an apology back at them.

"Watch where your going, Rengoku!" The friend yelled. Her sister put a hand in her shoulder, as if to tell her to ease up.

A small calico cat with wide eyes purred and rubbed up against the woman's leg. She smiled and bent to pet it. "You must be that cat that's always seen around the pictures of the pretty woman. Is it true the artist has been painting her for decades? What was his name...? Yushiro Yamamoto? Huh."

The cat licked her hand and scampered off, hiding in the shadows.

A teacher, a man with black hair parted down the middle, ushered them off school grounds and closed the gate with a clatter.

Now, it's time for an Author's Note:

And thus, my friends, we come to an end. I hope it lived up to your expectations, and I wanted to thank you for making it this far! I had a lot of fun writing this story, and I hope you had fun reading it!

Definitely go and read the original series Demon Slayer if you haven't already, since at the end of book 23 there's a message from the author of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba themselves that never fails to make me cry. :')

Anyway, thanks for reading! Love you guys <33
