Soobin's smile slowly faded into a neutral expression, turning off the lights before moving towards his bed and finding a comfortable position under the covers facing away from Yeonjun but leaving space for him. Yeonjun had a pained smile on his face, trying to press this moment into his memory. He never wanted to forget this.

After a couple seconds, he moved towards the bed as well, slowly getting in under the covers. He tentatively moved his arm around Soobin's waist, not wanting to make the other uncomfortable. When Soobin moved into the man's touch, Yeonjun smiled before pressing the boy's back into his chest. The room quickly became filled with silence.

However, it was apparent after an hour or so that neither of them could fall asleep. They were both now laying on their backs, Soobin's head on Yeonjun's chest as they both looked towards the ceiling. The silence surrounded them, neither of them sure if they should break it.

"I love you."

"I love you."

They both looked at each other in slight shock after hearing each other confess at the same time. Soobin was the first to smile, pulling Yeonjun impossibly closer and kissing the boy's nose lightly. Yeonjun smiled before leaning in, connecting their lips.

It was soft and slow, as if both of them wanted this moment to last forever. Yeonjun's hands found a place on Soobin's cheek while Soobin wrapped his arms around Yeonjun's waist the best he could in their position. They eventually pulled apart, both of their foreheads touching as they looked at each other. Even though nothing became too intense, they were both out of breath, as if they put all their emotions into one kiss.

"We should sleep." Yeonjun still sounded out of breath, Soobin chuckling slightly.

"Says the one who kissed me first."

"No, you kissed my nose first. I win."

Yeonjun couldn't imagine a better way to spend his last night with Soobin, both of them sharing small kisses in each other's embrace. All he wanted was to keep Soobin's smile etched into his memory. He wasn't sure what would happen tomorrow, but all he could think about in this moment was wanting Soobin to be happy, to have everything he wants.

All he wants is for Soobin to be happy, even if it's without him.

The morning in Soobin's dorm had been full of small talk, both of them knowing that this was their last day together. The walk to the cemetery was deafeningly quiet, neither of them exactly sure what to say in a moment like this.

When they reached the entrance of the cemetery, they were met by Taehyun and Beomgyu waving. They were already standing next to Yeonjun's parents who seemed to be slightly rigid, as if they weren't sure what they were expecting out of this experience. When Soobin walked up to everybody, he noticed that they all brought gifts. Soobin grasped the flowers in his hand tighter as he looked at everyone.

"Shall we?"

Soobin could tell the tone of his voice was strained, but he tried to keep himself together as he started following Yeonjun's parents to the boy's grave site. Taehyun and Beomgyu were making small talk with Yeonjun's parents, Taehyun only having met them a handful of times before when Yeonjun was still alive.

"Hey." Soobin turned towards the voice, seeing Yeonjun slowly intertwine their pinkies together as if it was their last pinky promise. "You can do this. I'll always be here no matter if you can see me or not."
