CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

“You have a hobby of kissing my cheeks, aren't you?”

“Take that as my love language. Plus, I don't like you so why would I kiss you on the lips?” Chaeyoung acted like she was hurt.

“Can you not say you don't like me? It hurts, you know.” Mina raised her eyebrow.

“Then, I like you as a friend.” Chaeyoung felt like her soul was about to come out from her body when Mina said that.

“You just got rejected twice, bro.” Jeongyeon whispered to the small girl between her laughs and high five with Mina.

Chaeyoung nudge Jeongyeon which made her groaned, “Fuck you.” Mina laugh at the two and noticed something on Chaeyoung's arm under the dress shirt.

“You have a tattoo?” Chaeyoung looked at her and nodded.

“Yeah, my arm was supposed to be covered with tattoos but I just told them that I just want a sword on it.”

“What's the meaning of that?”

“The sword tattoo represents authority, protection, courage, strength and power.” Mina nodded as her eyes landed on the small girl's hand.

“And this? I'm not familiar with these letters.” Chaeyoung looked at her knuckles and blushes.

“Y-your name... Mina.” Mina wasn't expecting that, she thought it was just a tattoo about power or strength.

“O-oh... Well, that was unexpected.” She stuttered and quickly composed herself to hide her blushing face.

The two didn't make an eye contact after that, averting their gazes back to the tribe people dancing their traditional dance but wasn't able to keep their hearts who were pounding hard, quiet.

Praying that none of them could hear how loud their hearts were pounding.

“Chaeng, can we talk?” Mina was the first one who looked behind them and saw Somi looking straight to Chaeyoung who looked over her shoulder.

“Oh, Somi? Of course, we can.” Chaeyoung stood up and was about to go with Somi when Mina quickly hold on her wrist.

“She can't come with you.” Mina coldly said while starin--- no more like glaring at Somi.

Somi grabbed Chaeyoung's other wrist and spoke, “I'll just congratulate her, Mina.” She replied in the same tone that Mina used.

Chanwoo and Jiwoo looked at the three and saw how intense the tension rising in the two glaring at each other, killing one another in their minds.

Tzuyu noticed Jihyo staring somewhere, she followed her gaze and saw Chaeyoung getting between the two predators which made her smirks.

“Wanna come?” Jihyo asked the taller who had her arm over Sana's shoulder who's talking with Momo.

Tzuyu looked at Chaeyoung again and spoke, “Nah, let them be.” Jihyo chuckled before sipping on her wine.

“Well then, you can just say it to her without making her come with you.” The small girl gulped and looked around to see her friends focus on the tribe people dancing.

She cussed under her breath, her friends didn't give her some help instead they purposely not look at her. Chaeyoung pulled her hand from Somi and place it on top of Mina's hand.

“Don't worry, I'll come back as soon as possible, alright?” She caressed her cheeks and pressed her pair of lips on Mina's forehead. “I promise.” She added.

Mina sighed in defeat and slowly let her hand go, Chaeyoung gave her a reassuring smile before walking with Somi.
