After news that Keeler had gone missing, with his keys still in the ignition and phone tossed, Kelly was called in to be interviewed.
He walked up to meet Erin Lindsay.
"Thanks for coming in." Erin told him.
"We got a follow-up on this when there's still a chance to find Keeler alive so..."
"You warned me not to do anything to Keeler. I took your advice." Kelly said.
"I've warned people before." She said.
"Fine, great. Where are we doing this?" He asked.
"I won't be doing the interview."
The door opened and Voight stood in the doorway.
"Hey, Kelly." He greeted him.
Kelly looked at him for a minute before going over to the room.
Voight set his file down and sat at the table.
"So... Wednesday night." Voight said.
"I was home."
"The whole time?"
"That's right."
"What about your roommate, Leslie Shay?"
"Out with friends."
"What about your girlfriend?" Voight asked.
"Who?" He didn't know he had a girlfriend.
"Lyla isn't your girlfriend?"
"No. She's my other roommate." Kelly explained.
"Okay. Anyone come over to visit?"
"No, no one came over to visit 'cause the scumbag who hurt my sister and helped the other asshole get to Lyla was out on the streets free as a bird. I wasn't in a very social mood." Kelly told him.
"I gotta ask the questions." Voight told him as he leaned forward.
"Why don't you talk to the cop who sprang Keeler from jail? Or maybe it was you." Kelly also leaned forward.
"It's unforgivable what Keeler did... But unless you come up with a better alibi, you're a suspect."
"I never said I didn't have an alibi. Lyla was home that night." Kelly told him.
Voight nodded slightly.
"I'll give her a call or have one of my guys stop by the firehouse and talk to her"

~~~~Lyla just finished pouring herself a cup of coffee when Herrmann spoke up.
"Okay, the suggestion box on what I should get Cindy for our 20th anniversary is now closed. 'Cause I figured out the perfect gift all on my own. A vasectomy."
Lyla's eyes widened slightly and she shared a look with Chief Boden.
There were a few laughs.
"Has she been after you to get one?" Clarke asked.
Chief put his head down and then started walking towards Herrmann.
"Nah, it never came up. It's gonna be a surprise" Herrmann said.
Chief patted his arm.
"Mazel tov."
"Thanks, Chief." Herrmann told him as he walked out of the room.
"You're seriously going to surprise her with the fact that you got snipped without her knowing about it first?" Mouch asked.
"Yeah, 'cause we're soulmates, jackass, and that's what soulmates do." Herrmann told him.
