"Have you met your wife? She's that very Catholic lady that sleeps next to you." Cruz asked him.
"She was in labor for 18 hours with kid number 5. She'd be doing backflips over this if she, you know, hadn't put on a little extra baby weight." Herrmann shot back.
"Bad idea." Mouch put up his hand.
"Shut it, Mouch." Herrmann left the room.
Lyla looked up from her seat when she heard her phone ring.
"Detective Lindsay, what's up?" She picked up.
"Lyla, would you be able to come into the district for questioning?" Lindsay asked her.
"Yeah, I'll be right over." She told her hanging up.
Lyla stood up.
"Hey, Casey is it okay if I duck out for a minute? I need to go to the district. I'll keep my radio on and meet you there if there's a call." Lyla asked.
"Everything alright?" he asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine. I'm going in for questioning."
With that answer, he knew it was about the Keeler case so he nodded.
"Go ahead."
Lyla grabbed her gear just in case and left, heading to the district.
She was let up the stairs and came face to face with Lindsay.
"Hey, thanks for coming."
"Yeah, let's get this over with." Lyla told her.
"Lyla, come on in." Voight said from the doorway of the other room.
"Is this about Keeler?" Lyla immediately asked as she sat down.
"It is. I wanted to ask you about Wednesday night." He told her.
"Okay, what about it?"
"Kelly said you were at his house that night, is that true?"
"Yeah. I've been staying with him and Shay until this whole Josh and Keeler thing was completely done and dealt with."
Lyla looked back at Erin through the window for a second before looking back at Voight.
"So you can vouch for Kelly being home that night?"
Lyla then realized that they found him as a suspect.
"Yeah. He watched TV most of the night while I was planning my next sketchbook drawing..." She told her right as her radio went off.
"Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambo 61, car accident, 19th and Ashland Avenue."
"Duty calls. If you still have more questions, I'll stop by the district on the way back to the firehouse." Lyla told her as she went to the door.
"No need, that's all I needed from you." He told her.
Lyla went out to her car and quickly geared up before she made her way to the scene.
She got there right on time as everyone else.
When she pulled up to the scene, there was a car in the side of the building and a car on fire in the middle of the road.
"No sign of the driver." Chief told Casey as they all got out.
"Truck 81, put that fire out and get a chain on the other car. Squad 3, make sure no one's in the basement then evacuate that building." Chief told them.
"All right, Cruz and Jones, help me stabilize the car. Lyla and Mouch, get CO2 on that fire." Casey told them.
Lyla grabbed a CO2 extinguisher and ran over to the car, putting out the fire as Mouch held up the hood of the car, before going over to the other car.
