Too Hard - Cobra Kai x Reader

*Y/N POV*

At 6:50 I got ready. I put on jean shorts, a white shirt, and a pink plaid shirt to top it off. I put my hair in h/s and went downstairs. My mom was there wearing a nice but casual outfit as well as Jimmy. "So, your gonna tell me where we're going?" I asked leaning on the counter

"Like i said, it's a surprise" my mom smiled

"Cars ready, let's go!" Jimmy said opening the front door. We all got in the car and I put my earphones in the car ride. I felt a bit tired so I took a quick nap while we drove. After a while the car stopped and I woke up to see a familiar house.

"No way..." I said sitting up

"Go ahead" my mom smiled.

I quickly bolted out the car and knocked on the front door. After a few seconds someone opened the door. Someone who I haven't seen in forever. My childhood best friend Demetri. I screamed opening up my arms giving him a big hug. "Oh my god I haven't seen you in forever!" I exclaimed letting him go.

"Wow, the nerds grown up" he joked

"So did you" I joked back lightly punching him in his shoulder. "How you been? I missed you so much"

"I've been well, how about you"

"Good, now that I'm back home"

We all went inside and ate diner. Everyone kept a conversation going on about what changed since my family's been gone. Once dinner was over I went to Demetris room to hang out

"Your room is as stupid as I remember" I joked looking at a figure.

"And you are as stupid as I remember" Demetri joked back

"Oh! Hows Eli!" I exclaiming turning to him "Can you invite him over? Does he know I'm back?" I exclaimed jumping up and down

"Well..." demetri said

"What?" I asked

"We're not friends anymore..."

"WHAT" I exclaimed "W-why! What happened?"

"It's a long story..."

"And a story that your going to tell me now!" I cut off. We stared each other down and it seemed like I won because demetri caved in

"He became an asshole."

"What do you mean?"

"He changed his name and became a bully, I swear his confidence is over the roof"

"Change his name? To what?"

"Hawk..."

"What?"

"Stupid name, i know-"

"No, he changed his name into Hawk?"

"Yea... that's what i just said-"

"And- and he has a mowhawk?"

"Yea, It's stu-"

"Oh my god... i was hanging out with him earlier! That's why I recognized him! I should of know..." I interrupted throwing myself on the bed. "Eli became an assh*le... wow..." I said staring up at the ceiling.

"I know, shocked me too when it happened"

"And you couldn't stop it?"

"I tried... nothing worked"

"Damn..." I was still staring at the ceiling when my mom called for me "sweetheart we're leaving!"

"Well, we're talking about this more tomorrow" I said getting up.

"Fine with me" Demetri smiled

"See you later dork" I smiled walking out

The ride home mom and Jimmy were just talking about Demetris mom and other random things. I couldn't get the fact that Elli changed so much. Once we got home I quickly went to my room and went to bed.

The next day I woke up with a text from Miguel. "Hey, me and my friends are going to hang out at around 7 after karate. Want to come?"

"Yea sure!" I responded. I got out of my bed and did my morning routine. Afterwards I went downstairs and ate breakfast with mom and Jimmy. "Have any plans for today?" I asked playing with my cereal.

"Well, we're gonna finish up buying stuff for the house, then Jimmy and I are gonna go have a date night."

"Date night?" I repeated

"Yea, Jimmy and I have been working hard. And we haven't had one In weeks"

"True, umm... can I hang out with friends? At around 7?"

"The group you hung out with yesterday?"

"Yep"

"That's alright, but I want you home before 11"

"11? Why so late? I mean I'm not complaining but I'm usually suppose to be home by 9."

"Well it's summer and your not little anymore. When school starts your curfews at 10 but for now it's 11. And that doesn't mean you can just walk out and go anywhere. You still have to ask me!"

"Okay!" I smiled. "When are we going out to the store?"

"In an hour so be ready by then"

"Okay" I smiled heading upstairs
