After about an hour and a half, there was a soft ringing that was getting louder and louder. Sapphire reached in her back pocket and pulled out her phone, then answered the call.
"Hello? I'm out with Coal... Yeah, be there soon no problem." She ended the call then looked over at me. "I have to go home..." She frowned and sat up. I sat up with her, watching her, trying to think of any way to make her stay. She stretched and yawned. "Man, I'm tired..." I stood up pulling her hand to stand up next to me. Her eyes were sleepy, I could tell she was exhausted. I turned my back to her and opened my arms for her to get on.
"Come on, I'll carry you home."
"What?" She said surprised.
"Yeah, I made you late so I'll carry you home, you said you were tired anyway right?" She nodded.
"A-Alright.." She hopped on my back wrapping her arms firmly around my neck. I grabbed hold of her thighs to keep them in place right above my hips. I let out a deep breath once again calming my urges, then began to walk. Her cheeks rested on the back of my shoulder blade. By the time we had reached her house, she was softly breathing in a rhythm. She had fallen asleep on me once again. I looked over my shoulder at her as best I could, her eyes were closed, a curl on the edge of her lip.
"Sapphire," I gently shook her to wake her up.
"Mm," she mumbled opening her eyes.
"We're here..." She lifted her head off me and looked around.
"Oh, I fell asleep..." She hopped off my back, "Does you back hurt?"
I shook my head, "Not a bit." She smiled at me, that innocent smile she always made. She grabbed my chin and quickly kissed me.
"I'll see you tomorrow," she turned around to walk into the house but I grabbed her and turned her around. There was no way she was getting away with just a quick kiss. I pushed her up against the door and kissed her hard. I heard her hand slide off the doorknob, her arms came up and around my neck. She gasped for air and I took the opportunity to slip my tongue into her mouth. After a few minutes, I pulled away breathless. "Stop it..." She said softly with a red face. She looked away from me her face was almost sad. She looked back up at me, her blue eyes exploding with emotion.
"I'll see you tomorrow," I smirked. She gave me a small smile and nodded. She turned away and retreated into her house once again. I stood on her doorstep for a moment then let out a deep breath, I shook my head and ran my fingers back through my hair. What the hell am I doing? I shouldn't be messing around with her, I shouldn't be doing any of this. But no matter how hard I try I can't help myself, she's the only girl I've even touched in months. I need to get laid, I need to get her out of my head. I walked away back to the house.
In the morning I sat up quickly. I had a dream about her. It was more like a nightmare... She died... By my own hand... I killed her and couldn't stop myself. My heart was racing and I looked around my room trying to figure out if this was reality. I was drenched in sweat and I was heavily breathing. The dream seemed so real, I sat there for a moment looking at the carpet at my feet. Finally, after several minutes I stood up, took a shower and got dressed. I hung around the house till ten when I was ready to go pick up Sapphire. Just as I was about to head out the door Ian called my name from behind I turned to looked at him.
"Let me come with you," he said with a smile. "I want to see this girl you're so intent about." I rolled my eyes.
"I already told you, it's just to protect her." I walked out the door with him following behind me. The whole way there Ian had a big grin on his face, it was kinda creepy really. We reached her front door, inside I could hear laughing and loud bashing. I turned to Ian before knocking, "Don't freak her out or act stupid." I gave him a serious stare then knocked on the door. Almost immediately the banging stopped and there were loud footsteps heading over to the door. The door quickly swung open, there was a girl standing there with a tank top and jeans on, I recognize her from the time I had seen Sapphire at the river.
