'Where are they?' I called out the moment I reached her. Mineta ran up beside me, the others in tow.

She was propped against the bank of the river - constructed with stone by Man to prevent bank disintegration. I sometimes forgot how easily her quirk got her places, and I was always left astounded. She lifted a single gloved finger, pointing a bit further down the rushing river. 'Over there,' she said, and we all followed her finger to the poor victim.

My eyes widened when I eventually spotted the helpless civilian we were meant to save, and I almost chocked on my own saliva with surprise. 'You've got to be kidding me,' I breathed out.

Usually, I would jump into danger straight away without thinking. My personal safety was my lowest priority compared to a civilian in danger. But when I saw Mirio Togata of all people floating down the river, a wide grin on his face - like he didn't have a care in the world - I must admit, I did hesitate. Mainly due to shock because what the hell was this guy doing here?

He let out a carefree laugh as he continued to float down the river. 'Gee! How did I end up in here. This can't be good, am I right?'

'Shut up!' Mineta cried. 'Is that Togata?'

'What's he doing here?' Sato asked.

'He's on a leave of absence,' Iida stated as if in answer, but he sounded just as stunned as the rest of us.

'Talk about rotten luck,' Togata continued. 'Hope I don't die!'

It was only then I noticed he was being pulled further down stream towards a bridge. A broken bridge. Its base was missing a solid portion of road already, most of it in the river and creating deadly obstacles for Togata. Pieces of metal and more of the base hung dangerously over the water on the verge of falling in. One strong breeze and it would all go tumbling down, and possibly on Togata.

'The bridge!' Iida exclaimed.

Surprisingly, Mineta was the first to speak. 'Tsukoyomi,' he said to Tokoyami, 'toss me out there. I've got this.'

'Very well,' my bird classmate replied.

'Me too, Sugar Man,' Tsu chimed in. 'I'll help.'

'Right,' Sato agreed.

Tokoyami took a moment and closed his eyes, and I felt sudden shift in his energy levels. There was no longer one presence, but two.

'Dark Shadow,' he called out, and the shadowy beast emerged from within the folds of Tokoyami's cape to grab hold of Mineta. Sato opened a can of sugar taken from his utility belt of supplies and chugged it down like water. His muscles immediately became more prominent, and his energy levels increased too.

Sato grabbed ahold of Tsu, leaning her back over his head before thrusting her upwards into the air, at the same time Tokoyami threw Mineta. 'Let's go!' he called out, and we watched as the two soared towards the danger and Togata.

Mineta hung above the bridge, reaching for the balls on his head before throwing them down in a mad rush. 'Come on Grape Rush!' The balls caught hold of the falling pieces of the bridge, sticking them in place.

Tsu flew above where Togata was near the fallen debris of the bridge, and managed to shoot her tongue out to wrap around him. She stuck herself to the side of the bridge, effectively pulling Togata out of the water and to safety.

'All right!' Sato called out in celebration.

'Good work you guys!' I shouted down the river, hoping they could hear me. 'Just hold tight until we know where to go next, okay?'

I turned to Iida, but he was already talking into his own walkie-talkie. 'Recognisance Squad, any update on the search for villains?'

'Nothing here,' Shoji's scratchy voice came through. 'We haven't found anyone.'
