December 24th

The next day you were up earlier then your new found companion, which shocked the both of you. You had plodded downstairs blearily to make yourself breakfast, having just woken up and thrown some clothes on. The dorms felt odd without the usual constant noise. Mina wasn't there to encourage group game nights, Bakugo wasn't yelling at anyone, Jiro wasn't practising, Ayoyama wasn't sparkling and Tokoyami wasn't brooding. Without everyone and their distinct personalities the place felt empty, almost spooky in a sense. You even missed theorising and info dumping with Deku, which the two of you had taken to doing often, it was what drew you two in into becoming friends.

To combat the feeling of lonliness you had derived from the silence you set up your Bluetooth speaker and connected it to your phone to play some Christmas classics. Mariah Carey, Michael Buble and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons were all included. It filled the void of emptiness you had been somewhat feeling and made the atmosphere and vibes feel more Christmassy then it had so far.

You were pondering all of this as you ate your toast and drank your (tea/coffee/hot chocolate). You let the steam from your drink flood your vision and captivate your thoughts, watching it dance in the air as you wondered what your friends and classmates were up to right now. You were so deep in thought you had become unaware of your surroundings, and jumped when you heard a knock on the door. You smiled sadly when you saw that it was just the delivery man with his hands full of parcels, no doubt all for Iida from his family. You got up to accept them from the man and thanked him quietly, wishing him a happy holidays. You weren't jealous to find that Iida had gifts, merely saddened by the thought that he had someone to think of him whilst you did not. As you looked down at the heafty amount of parcels you had placed on the kitchen island a thought came to your head and you smiled. Iida wasn't awake yet, making this the perfect time to pull off something nice for your friend.

But where to hide them. You could hide them in your room but there was no guarantee that he wouldn't need to go in there with you at some stage. Under the couch seemed to obvious and most of the cupboards in the kitchen or storage shelves around the common area were full. There was nowhere you could safely portal them to without risk of someone else finding them and you couldn't use anyone else's room because that would be violating their privacy. Shit, you didn't know what to do.

Until you did. The cupboards under the kitchen island were mostly empty and didn't have anything of importance in them, so as quietly as possible you moved the bar stools out of the way and hid the presents away in there, quietly moving the bar stools back in place afterwards to avoid as much suspicion as possible. You thought it would be a nice surprise for him to find these under the tree Christmas day.

Speaking of Christmas trees, class 2A had decided to decorate one together December first but being as everyone was meant to be away for the holidays it was the only decoration anyone had put up. You wanted to change that but didn't have anything on hand. Maybe that was something you and Iida could do together, it would almost be like a bonding exercise of sorts.

Iida woke up to the sound of Christmas music and shuffling around downstairs. He smiled to himself as he slowly got up, only to notice the time. For one of the first times at UA he had slept later then 7:00 am. It was now 10:00 am and he was the last one out of the two of you up. He was surprised but shrugged it off, school had left him feeling drained and then after all of your excitement yesterday he was so tired he doesn't even remember passing out. Iida quickly got changed into some warm, weather appropriate clothes and made his way downstairs, only to stop short in the doorway and smile at the sight that graced his eyes.

You were dancing around the common area, belting out the lyrics to 'All I Want For Christmas is You'. You had a wooden spoon for a microphone and a huge grin on your face as you slid around the wooden floors in just your socks. You were dressed simply in maroon thigh high socks that had fallen down to just above your knee and an oversized Christmas sweater, your (h/l) (h/c) a little bit of a mess from your antics.
