Morax watched as a single tear streamed down her cheek, while she was smiling, trying to hide her pain. He wanted to give her space with leaving her a bit alone but she grabbed robe saying she doesn't want to be alone. Morax sat down again and they both watched the sun rise in silence.

Meanwhile in the forest

„So Haan, where's my beloved sister? She's been away now some days, what is she even doing? She woukd never leave the forest."

Haan was laying in her fox form on Kai's lap while he stroke her fur, not wanting to answer Kai's questions.

„I see you don't want to answer, i guess i have to find out myself."

Kai took Haan and put her slowly down, he turned into his dragon from and flew into the sky, wondering where the hell his sister y/n is.

Back to Morax and Y/N

After the sunrise they both went back to the palace. Shu and Hu both standing at the entrance waiting for the special news to tell their lord. He excused himself and listened to what the two adepti have to say. Y/N on the other hand felt something familiar is coming. She ran out of the door and couldn't believe her eyes.

„Kai? what on earth are you doing here."

„I could ask you the same sis. Shouldn't you be in the forest protecting it, instead your here doing whatever the hell you're doing."

„Kai i'm trying to fix our problems and i have a plan, we can make a contract with the God of Contracts, he will help us! We can finally live all together. Isn't that what we always wanted?"

Kai put both his hands on Y/N shoulders.
„What are you saying?! Are you even listening to yourself??? Have you gone mental? He is using you for his own plans and goods. HAHAH, i'm sorry sis but i've never heard something as stupid as this. You know how the Humans are, we can't trust them nor the god of contracts, remember what happened to Haan's parents?''

Y/N remembered that Haan was only a baby when her parents got murdered by humans, since then Haan despised them.

„I know Kai but listen this thing whats going on is bigger then us we shouldn't fight it directly but instead learn from the past and try to figure out a solution."

„Do you love him?"

„What?"

„You heard me, do you?"

'Do I?'

„No Kai I do not love him, you think i would leave the forest risk MY HOME, MY FAMILY, for a man? Please do not insult me i did it for the sake the forest and our people , for our loved ones!"

„Whatever you say sister but let me tell you, I will not watch you go down nor the forest, so I will do anything and really ANYTHING to protect you. Even if that means i have to kill."

„Kai please don't make me regret my decision in sparing your life."

„Don't worry sister everything will be fine, you'll see and please don't fall for Lord Rex Lapis's empty words, i heard rumours of an attack at the forest, ask him or some of his friends if you don't believe me."
Kai vanishing afterwards leaving a now struggling Y/N between two worlds.

Y/N walked back to the palace thinking about her conversation with her brother. Maybe he's right but she need to find out herself. She walked to Morax' kind of meeting room where he does all his contracts and talks with his fellow adepti.

*Knock, knock, knock*

„Come in."

„Hello Morax, sorry for interrupting whatever you're doing but i want to ask you where do i find some of your fellow Adepti. I kind of feel bad that i just left without a word and i just want to make up to it.

'perfect y/n, great he will never believe me'

„Sure i can show you on the map where everyone is usually living and you're sure you want to go alone."

„Yes, i am sure Lord of pepple so if u excuse me i'll take this map and be on my way, don't expect me to come back today."

„Wait Y/N there are multiple earthquakes recently and i haven't figured out where they come from so please take care ok?"

Y/N nodded and walked out of the office, walking   past the garden straight to the front door. The sun shining straight on Y/N beautiful s/c.

„So let's get going."
