Hiccup's POV

Previously:

There's no more stalling. There's no more ways of distracting Dagur. He finally found a way to carry out the torture without burning his own hand. He found a thick glove, stuffed in the corner of the room, so he's able to safely hold the rod. This isn't great news to receive, trust me.

Now:

Yeah, I'm going to die. I never thought this would be the way I'd go out, I always thought I'd be carried off by a dragon during a raid, or cast out to sea by (what was then) my tribe. I never thought I'd die by the hands of the lunatic, Dagur. I mean, there was that one time we went swimming, but that was years ago.

"I am so excited, brother!" Dagur grins, swinging the rod around slightly as he pushes me against the wall with his other hand.

"I'm honoured," I retort.

"I've been waiting for this day!"

"Good for you."

"It's been all this time since I first got you, dear brother!" He continues, gritting his teeth as if frustrated. "It's been so hard to keep quiet! Do you want to know how hard it is?!"

"No, actually, I think I'll pass."

He stops and looks at me. "You're an annoying little runt, but I'll admit, you bring the funny!" He exclaims brightly. He shoves me against the wall again, sending a pang of pain to my head. "But it doesn't change anything." He lifts up the metal. "Your mouth will get you nowhere." Subtly, I slip my hand towards my waist band. My heart pounds loudly. "It doesn't change a thing." He draws it towards my throat. My hand closes around the handle of the blade. But I don't do anything else, my mind racing as I try to find a way out. There has to be a way out...

Toothless' POV

Previously:

I turn and continue down the path, following Hiccup's scent; it's been getting stronger the last few minutes, which means I'm getting close.

Now:

The scent is leading me all over the ship, at times, but it's never long before I get my bearings. My echolocation is especially handy in navigating the ships hallways. Strange thing is, I'm headed further and further away from the cells and closer to the deck of the ship. Why would Dagur want to take his prisoners outside? Where there's a higher risk of escape? It doesn't make sense to me.

I follow the scent and come to a door. It's narrow, too narrow for me to fit through, but I know this is the door hiccup went through. It's where his scent leads.

Looking around, I don't spot any alternative doors. So I just charge a plasma blast, and knock a giant hole through the wall. I jump through, met with sunshine as I land on the deck. Interesting.

Looking around, I don't spot Hiccup. I spot a few workers in distance, but pay them no mind because they look in no rush to approach me. Instead I concentrate on finding Hiccup's scent again, though it's really hard because of the sea spray and the wind. I'm about to start panicking, thinking I've lost the trail, when I hear it. His voice.
