Keefe p.o.v.
I ran out to Sophie who was leaning against her locker crying. I let her cry on my shoulder as I lead her to the door and sat her down on a bench. She sniffled. She sat there for a minute, sobbing.
"Im really fine" she said " let's just go" she wiped her tears with her sleeve. "Your sure?" I asked "we can stay longer, I'll wait for you, as long as it takes." I gave her a hug "Lets go" she said standing up. She flashed her home crystal, creating a colorful beam of light.
When we appeared at Havenfield, we walked over to the panakes tree. Wynn and Luna were cuddled up under the tree. We sat down on the soft grass as Wynn nuzzled Sophie's hand.
"I can't believe Fitz said those things about you" I mumbled "he has no right to yell at you like that"
"No, this is my fault" she whispered. "WHAT!?" I asked "Sophie, don't you ever say that" "it was NOT your fault", I said wrapping her in a loose hug.
Edaline walked towards us
"hows Fitz?", she asked. I shook my head at her, wishing I was a telepath so I could mentally tell her what happened, but it was fine because she dropped the subject when she saw Sophie's puffy, bloodshot eyes.
She sat down next to Sophie joining in on our hug. "Im sorry" she whispered "I love you honey" she stood up walking over to Verdi's enclosure.
"Okay" Sophie said standing up "lets move on" we walked toward the house "wanna work on some skills training?" I asked
"always" she smiled. We walked up the glimmering staircase to her room. "Okay, lets work on..... levitation. See, the trick for levitating is hip swinging."
She pulled herself up into the air. "Hip swinging?" She asked, walking while swinging her hips slightly. "No, more drastic, try walking with really drastic movements" she tried again, this time making sure to really swing her hips. She walked halfway across the room effortlessly, before beginning to flail again.
"Good job!" "Took me days to be able to do that. Lets see ya dance foster!"
She started doing a little prance around the room. I levitated up with her. "Do you know how to ballroom dance?" I questioned "Actually, yes I do." She smiled as we danced around the room. "Remember that hip movement!" I reminded her. We danced and danced and time seemed to stop as she leaned toward me, her lips were inches from mine. "Sophie?" A quiet voice asked from the door. We fell out of our levitation onto a pile of limbs on the floor. Sophie looked up.
Sophie p.o.v.
A pale brunette girl with short legs and curls framing her face stood by the door. She looked about 12 years old. She held a light blue bag in her hand.
"Amy?" I asked.
"Edaline hailed me. She told me what happened. All of it. Im so sorry. Can I do anything to help? How are you? Ya look fine. Sorry I interrupted this by the way...." She rambled. "You could use a makeover.... Your eyes are terribly puffy..."
I smiled "whatever you want" I led her to the bathroom. And sat down in a chair
" you could use a makeover too" she said gesturing to Keefe "I mean your hair looks nice but... your outfit is... well... it needs work, but that's why im here. Leap home and go get the outfit you think would make Sophie's heart go pitter patter the most" she giggled
"will do" he winked at me and leaped home.
"He's a real catch Soph," she said adding some blush to my cheeks and some liner to my eyes. Next she used a fancy cream under my eyes cover the bags and puffs. She added an abundance of gold eyeshadow to my eyelids and grabbing a brush. She undid my french braids and brushed my hair into a twisty and braided half up half down. She rushed into my closet pulling out a pale pink dress and a little yellow ribbon. She added the ribbon to my hair and handed me the dress.
I stepped out. "Wow" she whispered " and I thought you looked beautiful before". I blushed. I stepped over to Vertina, my spectral mirror. "You look great, Sophie" she squealed "who styled you?" "Whoever it was is an absolute master" Amy blushed stepping into the frame "thanks" she mumbled.
Just then Keefe glittered into the room. He was wearing a white tunic that showed off his defined abs. His pants were just a little cropped, going down to his upper ankles. He had the same pair of brown boots he wore on the day they met in the hall. His cape was long going down to the backs of his knees, the silver color shining in the moonlight from the open window.
"Yup her hearts goin' pitter patter" he smirked "how do you know?" Amy asked "Im an empath" he explained "usually I have to make contact with someone to feel their emotions but since her biological mother councilor Oralie is an empath she has a special 'connection' with empaths, so I can feel hers without touching her." Amy's eyes were wide with shock "hmmm" she pondered.
"Well I better get home" Amy announced "mom and dad will only be at Home Depot for so long..." I gave her a hug. She hurried out the door for Edaline to leap her home. "You'd better get going too" I said to Keefe "we have school tomorrow" "you're gonna go?" He asked "I guess I have to" I said "Im just going to hail Teirgan and ask if he can change the schedule so I don't have to have telepathy tomorrow with Fitz", I mumbled "alright" He agreed "transmit to me if you need anything" he kissed my cheek then leaped away.
I pulled out my imparter. "Hail Sir Teirgan" I said quietly. His face flashed onto the screen. "Hello Sophie" he said " Elwin told me what happened with Fitz. How are you? I always knew the Vackers were no good. Im assuming you'd like to change your telepathy session to separate with Fitz" I nodded "I hear he cannot get into your head anymore which would disable you from being cognates so it would be no problem", "though... tomorrow is too soon, so I can't change it till your Thursday session" my smile faded. "Thank you so much Teirgan" " anything for my moonlark" He whispered.
