Hye-wol grumbles under her breath but accepts Nam-ra's hand, the latter pulling her up back to her feet. Immediately, she felt the ache on her legs, wobbling and if it wasn't because of Su-hyeok who wrapped an arm around her waist to stabilise her, she would be back on the ground again. She wasn't kidding, the activity earlier took almost all of her energy and left her sore all over her body.
"Where did you park the car?" Nam-ra asks.
"In the forest, just like what you have said." Gwi-nam answered to which Nam-ra nodded.
"Wait-there's a car?" Hye-wol sometimes forgot that they all know the continuity too but she didn't expect them to actually be as prepared as she was.
"Of course," Gyeong-su responded, pride lacing his voice, "Do you expect us to not get a car when we know this thing will happen?"
"You knew this would happen?" Hye-wol's eyes slightly widened and she looked at Ha-ri pleadingly, "What do you mean by that?"
Hye-wol shakes her head at the senior, mentally telling her to not question anything. Wu-jin, slightly panicked at the way the others started to look at his older sister, immediately pointed at the zombie coming their way, "We have to go now. Come on!"
This sparks the sense of urgency within the group as they all start to run towards the tennis court. As always, Gwi-nam and Cheong-san lead the group while Nam-ra and Su-hyeok took the rear.
Hye-wol, who was naturally at the middle of the hambies, sneakily ran beside Ha-ri, "Unnie," she whispers to her. Ha-ri turns to look at her for a second before focusing back on the track in front of her. However, this is enough for Hye-wol to know that she's listening.
"Don't question them, please. Just follow and listen," she pleaded, "If I have time, I'm going to be the one to explain it to you but please, don't blatantly question or antagonise them no matter what you see."
Ha-ri was confused. She didn't even have time to react because Joon-yeong had already grabbed Hye-wol away from her. When all of them successfully enter the tennis court, Nam-ra closes the gate behind her, all of them running towards the center of the court but immediately skidding into halt when the zombies outside run and block their way out.
They all shared a look as the gate started to break from the force of the zombies, the boys (except Dae-su) gripped their own baseball bat tightly while On-jo naturally gravitated around Hye-wol. Nam-ra stood in front of the group with Cheong-san and Gwi-nam beside her. Dae-su gulped while Hye-wol seeks out Ha-ri, quietly stepping closer to the senior for some comfort as the snarls of the zombies increase as their number.
The gate finally gave up and the aggressive zombies came bounding towards them. From the other side of the net, Cheong-san and Gwi-nam hit the zombie with their baseball bat while Nam-ra uses her bare hands to snap their necks.
Cheong-san, remembering something, stops what he was doing for a second to remove the small backpack, tossing it towards Gyeong-su, "Gyeong-su yah, light the flares!"
Gyeong-su, without questioning, grabs the backpack on the ground, hastily opening the zipper to grab a flare. He lights it up to which he comes into sudden realization that he didn't know what to do with the flares.
"Throw it to the other side!" On-jo yelled at Gyeong-siu when she noticed that he was so confused.
Now knowing what to do, Gyeong-su throws the flare with all his might but contrary to what So-Ju did on their timeline, only a few zombies followed the flare.
"No, I think he waves the flare first to catch the attention of the zombies before throwing it." Wu-jin stated, crouching towards the bag to grab a flare of his own to light it up.
He waves the flare up in the air, mimicking So-ju. The zombies followed him and he took it as a sign to throw the flare to the other side of the court. This time, the majority of the zombies run to catch the flare he threw.
"See?" he smirked proudly.
"Let's go," On-jo stated to the group, grabbing Hye-wol's empty hand to pull her away while simultaneously pulling Ha-ri with them because Hye-wol's clinging to her.
Su-hyeok opens the door for them and makes sure that Hye-wol succeeds in getting out. He nods at Joon-yeong and Wu-jin to which the lads nodded back at him before grabbing Hye-wol on both of her hands. This confuses the lass but the next thing she saw was Su-hyeok pushing Dae-su back to the tennis court, stomping on his legs to make sure that he will have a hard time standing up.
"Y-yah!" Hye-wol stutters in disbelief, thrashing around Joon-yeong and Wu-jin's deadly grip as she hears Dae-su's pitiful cries, "Yah what are you doing?!"
"No!"
Cheong-san suddenly appears behind her, covering her mouth and nose with a fabric. Hye-wol, still having a small amount of awareness, forces herself to stop breathing so she wouldn't inhale whatever chemical they put on the handkerchief.
"Breathe, Hye-wol ah, breathe," Cheong-san whispers to her.
Hye-wol tries kicking her legs but this attempt makes her accidentally inhale the chemical, her nose burning as her eyesight starts to blur. Even Ha-ri's confused questions, Dae-su's cries and the sound of the gate being closed becomes a dull background on her ears.
"Wu-jin, what is the meaning of this?"
A tear fell down on Hye-wol's cheeks as her movement became lax, her eyes finally closing as darkness surrounds her.
