TBATE - Fated To Rule Together

I held Julie tightly in my arms. Or was it Amber now? I don't really care, all that matters is that she's here, in my arms. From the corner of my eye, I could see Sylvie and Airies having worried expressions, but they didn't disturb us. They could probably feel our emotions and knew that we needed this moment together. I still couldn't believe it. It felt like I was in a dream. A dream I never wanted to wake up from. We stayed like that for a while, taking comfort in each other's presence, corroding the loneliness we felt since coming to this world.

After a while we broke apart. I put my hand on her cheek and looked into my wife's beautiful face. Wife? Could I still call her that? As if reading my Amber spoke, "Of course I'm still your wife. Or did you forget your vows."

"Of course I haven't. I remember them like we took them yesterday. 'To love each other in life, and in death'," I recited. She nodded her head in agreement. Finally, Sylvie and Airies came to us and asked us if we were alright, to which we assured them that we were fine.

Sylvie seemed to get the general picture of the situation and asked, "(Kuu) Papa, is that mama?" I was taken aback by the sudden question, but soon nodded.

"Yes, that's mama," I replied with a smile and looked toward Amber. She blushed, but gave a kind smile to Sylvie.

Airies soon spoke to Amber. I didn't have a bond with him, but I could tell what he asked.

"Yes, that's right. He's your papa," she replied with a chuckle. Both Airies and Sylvie looked at me and Amber respectively with their eyes shining. Sylvie soon jumped into Amber's arms while Airies flew on to my shoulder. Then suddenly, both of them bit us right below the elbow, to which we both let out a yelp of surprise. I looked at my arm and saw another mark there that was similar to the one Sylvie gave me. Soon realisation hit me. This was a bond mark. But how can two people have the same bond?

"Papa," I heard a voice in my head that was not Sylvie's. I looked over to see Airies looking at me with an expectant gaze. Had he just spoken to me? I held out my hand and he came flying towards me.

"Mama," This time it was Sylvie's voice, but she said it to Amber. It looked like she could also understand her.

As she picked Sylvie up, she said with a bright smile, "That's right, I'm your mama." Me and Amber looked at each other with confused smiles, but accepted whatever was happening right now. 'We'll figure this out later' I thought.

We talked for what felt like hours. I was shocked to find out Airies was a phoenix. And not a phoenix wyrm, but a true phoenix, which was something I didn't even know existed. Airies had a proud look on his face and puffed out his chest when I looked at him. Me and Amber couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. However, my shock was nothing compared to the shocked look on Amber's face when she learnt that Sylvie was a dragon. She couldn't believe such a cute little thing would grow to be a legendary creature.

I was going to teach her mana rotation, but to my surprise she already knew how to do it already. I asked her how she knew this. Apparently, Airies' mother had taught it to her. I was pretty surprised that she also called it mana rotation. The chances of me and Amber choosing the same name were minuscule, so you could understand my surprise.

"Well, we are husband and wife," she said with a giggle. I was also surprised to find out she also had a beast will, and was fully assimilated with it.

"I got it from Airies' mother. She told me how to assimilate with her will and gave me a spherical object to activate it when I was finished. I took around 2 years though. I finished assimilating a few months ago actually." She stated. She was also surprised to find out I had a beast will as well.
