After countless unsuccessful attempts, Destiny gives up on contacting Zoe and heads home, as she intended to do from the start. Once she arrives, she says a quick hello to her parents, who welcome her back, and throws herself dead weight on the bed. After an hour or so she finally decides to stop being a vegetable and get out of bed, sits down at her desk and starts drawing, she had started to make a portrait of Zoe, so she continues her work hoping that sooner or later the girl's name will appear on the screen of her phone. As if she had predicted the future, after another half hour the phone starts to ring, the wolf immediately leaves the desk almost throwing herself on the bed where she had left the device, on the screen appears precisely
"little princess 👑♥️"

"Hey Destiny, sorry i only saw the calls now, did something happen?"
Zoe's voice is a mix between sorry and worried

"emh no... Let's just say the queen decided to show her true colours and I wanted to hear your voice Aha"
Admits the wolf with a nervous laugh and roasting slightly

"You mean Jennifer?"

"yes"

"She didn't make a scene I hope?"
The little queen asks, still worried

"Sort of..."

"Oh my goodness"
Zoe says, puffing heavily

"What did she say to you?"
The girl continues asking with a thread of curiosity

"oh well... She confessed to me"

"Oh"
Says Zoe dryly

"and what did you say to her...?"
She asks with a knot in her throat

"I told her I'm with you of course"
Destiny answers in a reassuring tone making the other one lift up

"and what did she say?"

"well from there on the drama started, I don't want to think about it though"

"is that why you wanted to hear me?"

"Yes..."

"was it that bad? Aha"
Zoe asks with light sarcasm trying to lighten the tension she guesses the other is feeling

"you don't seem surprised, how come?"
Destiny asks, intrigued by the fact that Zoe didn't even blink at the queen's behaviour

"Oh... That's because she once did something like that to me too"
Admits the girl sadly

"what!?"
Destiny exclaims shocked

"why?"
The wolf asks

"Because she wanted to confess to you..."

"really?"

"yeah... She left after we got together. She told me that you would choose her in the end... I'm glad you didn't"
She states with relief the last part

"Why? You thought I wouldn't choose you?"
Destiny asks slightly hurt

"no I never thought you would do such a thing.... But you know the way she said it, it gave me the creeps"
Explains Zoe thinking back to what happened that day

"I understand... In fact, that's the same reason I called you"
Destiny reveals

"What do you mean?"

"before she left she told me that since you and her live in the same environment, you will also leave me like she did..."
Says the wolf slowly

"..."
Zoe pauses making Destiny fidget slightly on the other end of the phone
