"that's the biggest bullshit she could have said"
The queen then firmly exclaims

"yeah well I was stunned at the time that's it"

"I understand"

"I mean... She was a bitch to both of us, huh? Aha combo"
Destiny laughs it off, muffling the heaviness of the moment

"You can say that aha"
Zoe agrees selling herself infected by the other's laughter

"Speaking of us... I'm going to tell my parents"
Reveals the little queen with a slight hesitation

"r-really?"
Destiny asks surprised

"yeah... well I've been thinking about what Jennifer told me and out of all the mean things one thing was true.... I can't hide from the people I'm forced to see every day, much less feel like pretending. I don't want to leave you in the shadows... I want to walk hand in hand with you in the sunlight"
Zoe affirms in a very soft tone of voice

"you have to stop saying nice things to me that I have to say nice things back.... And I'm not very good with words haha"
Destiny says with her usual irony

"haha you don't have to. I mean every once in a while maybe do the corny thing haha. I mean everything I said, I'll do it today"

"are you really sure? Do you want me to come over?"

"no it's fine, it's something I have to do on my own. But thank you, really"

"Alright then, if it doesn't work out call me or come over. But I'm sure it'll be fine, I mean who could get mad at your pretty face?"

"Ha ha, you say that because you don't know my parents"

"The "going well" part probably, but the pretty face part is thanks to your parents if you think about it"
The wolf points out to her

"ok then I'm going to go, wish me luck"
Zoe says ignoring the wolf's comment

"good luck little princess"
Destiny hangs up and lies down on the bed contemplating the ceiling.

She was really shocked to find out that Jennifer had behaved like that even with her best friend, she really couldn't understand what was wrong with her, she wasn't like this at all before, or maybe she was, just that she hadn't shown her true self yet. Now all her thoughts are on Zoe, her girlfriend's decision has made her notice that in fact she's never really come out to her parents, but honestly she doesn't think there's any need since she's never tried to hide her sexuality so her parents probably figured it out on their own and even if not they won't have a big problem when they find out so the wolf is calm about it.

Zoe is still in her room, she spent the hour following the call with Destiny mulling over what she had said. She genuinely intends to tell her parents about her relationship but now wonders if it's too soon to do so, she wanders around the room for a while, mulling over how to start the conversation and how to prepare for whatever response her parents will give her. In the end, after careful consideration, she leaves the room and heads for the living room where she is meeting her parents. Yes, because Zoe's parents are so busy with work that even their own daughter is forced to make an appointment to talk to them like any other client. After ten minutes of waiting Mr. and Mrs. Knox finally make their appearance in the living room, they sit on the armchairs placed in front of the sofa where Zoe is sitting and wait with impassive expression for the girl to explain the reason for this meeting.

"Thank you for agreeing to talk"
Zoe says with extreme formality, in a way it's as if she really is in front of two strangers, after all she speaks to her parents very rarely, this is one of the reasons why she believes they won't make a big deal out of the news they are about to receive.
