Red Is A Pretty Colour

Hiko's pov

We waited for a little while and sure enough they returned with Sasuke. As soon as he got here Sasuke rushed to Naruto's side. Naruto was so distracted that he got stabbed by Kaguya and began turning to dust.

"Naruto!" I screamed.

My hair raised around me and I felt enormous amounts of chakra surround me. I felt myself go numb as I stared blankly at the spot my brother had been.

"Thanks Sakura, obito!" Naruto said and my hair immediately fell back to it's usual position.

I sighed in relief, the feeling coming back to my body.

"He scared the crap out of me." I said.

"What just happened to you?" Sakura asked.

"I have no idea." I replied.

Suddenly the ground became spikes and the force of gravity became so strong that all of us were brought down. We all tried our best to push against it, not wanting the ground to stab us.

Kaguya was also forced down although she managed to use her strength to raise her arms and aim ash bones at Naruto and Sasuke. I struggled to raise my one hand, intent on using wind style to knock the jutsu off course. I didn't have to though as the two boys managed to dodge.

Kaguya aimed again and Obito and Kakashi~Sensei somehow got to their feet. The two of them stood infront of Naruto and sasuke as the second pair of Ash bones shot towards them. Obito used kamui to protect Kakashi~Sensei and let the other bone impale him.

"Obito, what did you do?" Kakashi~Sensei said.

"Kakashi, you stay here a little longer. Don't you rush to follow us." Obito said.

"But why? We made up our minds to... your power is still needed here." Kakashi~Sensei said. "Why save someone useless like me?"

"Don't you mind me, just focus on the enemy." Obito said.

The heightened gravity stopped and we all got to our feet. Naruto placed a hand on Obito's back, trying to help him. His abdomen was begining to crumble away.

"No Naruto, don't waste your chakra." Obito said.

"Why do you sympathise with him? He was originally your enemy, remember? Then again, obito is now a traitor to us too. A looser on all fronts, hated by both allies and foes, no family or friends to mourn him. He's all alone with no legacy, he lost those precious to him and couldn't even fulfil his dreams. After being used up he's helpless now. Hes a fool full of only mistakes." Black Zetsu said.

"How dar-" Naruto was cut off.

"You're right, it's an end worthy of the criminal that I am." Obito said.

Sasuke then teleported beside Kaguya and tried to get her with Chidori but she flew up into the air, changing the dimension again as well.

"We've been here before." Sakura said.

"She changed worlds again?!" Kakashi~Sensei said.

"Naruto, I'll handle the diversions. Obito is beyond help, come with me." Sasuke said as his susanoo formed around him. "I'm going.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it." Naruto said as Sasuke left.

"Enough, thank you Naruto." Obito said. "After fighting you I feel like I've woken up. It was as if when I looked at you I saw my past self and regretted the current me. For some reason it also made me happy. When I was a kid I'd imagine myself as the hokage so often I think you brought back that undescribable feeling of exhilaration and uncertainty. Imagining the village, comerades and me as Hokage, even after all that's happened, just the thought of it seems to fill up the hole in my heart. Is it because I'm dying I find myself rambling all of a sudden? A lot more suffering likely awaits you Naruto however just keep on forging ahead like always, without changing. You once told me that  never going back on your word is your ninja way, right?"

"Yeah." Naruto said.

"Naruto, you better become the hokage." Obito said before completely crumbling away to ash.

"I will." Naruto said.

There was suddenly a loud rumbling noise and Kaguya burst into the sky being chased by Sasuke. Naruto shot up after them, joining the fight.
