Familiar Face

Grabbing my hair up to a messy ponytail letting the strands not long enough fall on the sides of my face I use the scarf to secure my hair tightly so I don't lose it. "Wow you use your scarf to accessories it's cute" Lucy begins. "As long as I'm wearing it I don't care how it's wrapped around me" I answer. "Guess thats where you and natsu are different he always wears his scarf around his neck unless we're at the beach" i look at her. "But I notice you always wrap your scarf around your neck before you go to sleep"
'She's really is observant'
I smile "you have an extra bag where I can carry my clothes" I change the topic. She scrambles till she finds a brown bag giving it to me I fill it with extra out fits and night clothes before we nod at eachother rushing out the door jogging to the train station.
"Do we have to" I begin to whine. "You wanted to take this job" Rio reminds me. "Yea but-" I turn "trains are the worst" Wendy and natsu say with me as we hesitate to walk in. "Move or ill make you move"! Erza demands us as we walk in quickly taking seats before the last horn blows. The train shakes making us slouch in our seats our faces go pale. Lucy has an awkward smile sitting across from us we hear the train doors close. Footsteps walking towards us stop, "Oh gray" says Lucy. "Seems as though you made it" Erza states. I manage to turn my head and he looks away from Erza. There's that eye contact again but with memories still fresh of this morning we turn away quickly. "Y-yea" he answers. He sits on the seats on the other side of the aisle. "Why are you sitting over there gray" Lucy asks. "I need my space" he says looking at the ground embarrassed a bit. "Jeez whats up with him" Lucy points out but all Erza does is smile and nod.

Flash Back

"TO FAIRYTAIL" we all say after a cheers. I laugh as natsu starts dancing on the table happy joins him but Rio stays on my shoulder. "Dont make me do that" he says while I chuckle taking a sip of water. "Is the water any good" Max says to me. 'I remember him, sand boy' "It's refreshing" I smile without teeth. I lean against a table he does the same but keeps some distance. "You know I gotta wonder why did it take you so long to find natsu he's been pretty popular I mean you knew his name the time seems off you know what I mean" he forces a smile. 'Guess people still have questions'. "It does.. I traveled through forest, meadows, rivers didn't know where I was going and I'm not one to talk so whenever me and Rio ended up in a town we hear gossip now and then but every town we ended up in i searched like crazy". My eyes look to the ground "Truth is I lost my memory for a while". "You lost your memory?" I hear Lucy ask joing the conversation. "Yea I hit my head when I was a kid forgot any thought of Natsu was completely gone. It took a while for it to came back to me soon and as soon as it did I came rushing here " It was the truth but shortened version. Rio looks at me. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" he begins to say hastily. "Don't worry about it i would be cautions too it's nice to know he's got people looking out for him" I smile till I see natsu stumbling towards me in the corner of my eye I turn. Lucy and max get out the way as Rio flies up we bud heads real hard falling to the ground knocked out cold. "Oh no y/n"!!! Lucy says frantically waving her hands over you. "She's fine" says max after lifting you up so you lean against natsu. "Aren't they adorable sleeping together like that" Mira swoons over you and natsu while everyone else smiles helplessly. The party continues but everyone falls asleep eventually. Erza still awake looks around knowing no one is going to wake up for a while. She turns to see Gray passed out on a table she grabs him dragging him to a corner in the guild. She drops him putting her hands on her hips turning to you she heads over grabs a hold of you dragging you away as natsu falls to the ground without the support you gave eachother, he's now laying face planted with happy and Rio at his feet. Pulling you on top of Gray you open your eyes a little 'why does it feel so warm' closing your eyes again Erza makes gray wrap his hand around you and with that dusts her hands. 'I'll win this contest for sure' She makes a fist with determination in her eyes. She then walks to an empty table putting her head down falling asleep as well.

End of Flashback

"Where's the job information" Lucy continues. "Its right here" happy hands over the paper she reads it in her mind as Erza peaks over reading it as well. "This job request doesn't give us any information even if the client will explwin the situation we should still know what type of monsters where signing up to defeat" she said aggressively. "I couldn't agree more" Carla says. After some time passes on the train we finally make it to our destination. The long train ride still had us sick as Rio carried me out, Carla did the same with Wendy, and happy with natsu they put us down so we compose our selves. It took a few minutes but I finally snap out of it "who the hell invented trains" I say still weak getting up. "Never riding ones of those things again" I hear natsu say sounding exactly like me. We get up still slouching and soon enough our energy is restored. Though it takes Wendy a little longer to get over her sickness we head over to a snack shop to grab something to eat while Erza offers to meet with the client while we wait on Wendy. "So uh where are we" I ask while taking a bite of a sandwich looking around. "Hey Sabertooth is not too far from here" Lucy says in a smile. "Yea your right Lucy" Natsu says getting excited as well. 'Sabertooth?' I question but look up to see Erza coming back. "That was fast" I say as we all walk towards her. "I assumed it was the client refused to speak with me informed us to come back in the morning" she says in annoyance. "How rude" Carla says what were all thinking. "Hey guys sorry it took so long for me to recover" Wendy says joining us sounding a bit embarrassed. "What's wrong" she asks reading the atmosphere. "Nothings wrong since we have time let's go pay sabertooth a visit"! Natsu throws his hands in the air and a smile grows on everyones face. They all agree and we begin to head to Sabertooth. Lucy explained its another guild Fairytail's close with so I just follow everyone else.
With everyone in conversation I some how ended up walking next to him as the silence makes the tension a whole lot awkward. "Listen-", "So-" we both begin at the same time as we look at eachother looking to the ground I go first. "You know what happened this morning.....I-", "Forget about it". He cuts me off as I turn to look at him still looking down at the ground. "It was probably a stupid prank done by someone in the guild so just forget about it" he turns away and walks infront of me. 'Jerk' I get annoyed at his indifference but I don't know why. But ignore it as we finally make it to the Sabertooth's guild. Natsu walks through their doors with everyone following while I hang back hiding behind Erza's luggage. "HEY NATSU IT'S BEEN AWHILE" I hear someone say. *sniff* 'I know that smell' I walk around Erza's luggage to the front where Natsu was standing holding his hand up in a wave. Then I see a familiar face I met before I found Natsu. "It's you"!! I say along with the blonde haired man that stopped running in tracks.

Face to face silence fills the air as my teammates look at him then me then questioning everything. "Huh"?! No one noticed it and even Grey himself didn't but he was annoyed about the interaction who stared angrily at the connection you guys made.
