Jealousy

We continued our meal, the air thick with unspoken words and hidden agendas. I reveled in the knowledge that I had the both men exactly where I wanted them. This was just the beginning, and I had many plans in store.

Now time for the third.

"Sebastian, thank you for such a wonderful meal."

"It was a pleasure, Lady (Y/n)."

I smiled and started to take part in the meal they had laid out before me. It was a delightful mix of fruit and warm oats soaked in milk and honey. The warmth of the oats contrasted beautifully with the fresh, cool fruit. Once I only had a few bites left, I held back my grin when I felt mischievous.

"I've never had this before; it's quite delicious." I picked up a spoon and held it up to Edward. "Try it. Maybe you can make a variation for me once we return to my estate."

I could feel the other two men in the room gawking as Edward leaned down and let me feed him from the same silver spoon I had used. Edward visibly relaxed when he noticed my eyes on him, and they stayed there until his lips grazed off the spoon. He chewed, humming thoughtfully.

"It's a really nice texture. I would personally use condensed milk since you prefer your breakfast on the sweeter side. Perhaps with a berry assortment on top?"

My head tilted slightly as I smiled, and when Edward looked down at me, he froze and his eyes widened a little. "That sounds delicious. I can't wait to try it."

A throat cleared from across the room, and I took the spoon back, dipped it into my bowl, and proceeded to chew and swallow another mouthful before turning to Ciel, whose eyes were wide and tinged ever so slightly with an unrecognizable emotion.

"Would you accompany me to my study? I feel as though there are a few things we need to discuss. Privately."

I giggled to myself at the very low growl that Edward emitted at the implications of Lord Phantomhive's words and patted his hand gently before standing.

"Of course, my Lord."

Ciel stood up and offered his arm to me, and I took it, ignoring the burning stare of Edward as he watched us leave the dining room.

"Goodness," I hummed slightly. "That butler of mine gets so jealous sometimes."

"Is there a reason for him to be jealous?" Ciel asked.

I giggled softly, casting him a look that flushed his cheeks. "Is there indeed?"

Our walk to his study was short and uneventful, which, considering the atmosphere of the dining room we had left moments ago, was a welcome calmness. The halls of the Phantomhive manor were adorned with portraits and ornate decorations, each piece telling a story of the family's rich history.

"I have to take care of some paperwork," Ciel spoke softly, "but I hope you could do me the pleasure of staying here with me?"

"Why... it would be my pleasure, my Lord."

He opened the door to his study, revealing a room lined with bookshelves filled with ancient tomes and ledgers. A large mahogany desk dominated the center of the room, papers neatly stacked in various piles. The room smelled faintly of leather and parchment, a comforting and scholarly scent.

Ciel led me to a comfortable chair near the desk and gestured for me to sit. He took his place behind the desk, immediately diving into his work with a focused intensity. I watched him for a moment, admiring his dedication and poise.

As he worked, I allowed my mind to wander. The events of the past days played through my mind, each interaction and decision carefully analyzed. I knew that Edward's jealousy was not unfounded; my actions were deliberate, each one designed to elicit a specific response from those around me.
