"Kari, hey!" I greet her smiling. She looks up at me and I watch as her mouth drops open, green eyes widening as she hurries to compose herself properly. I watch as her cheeks redden slightly. It's kind of cute, I've always suspected she's had a crush on me. I never dared ask just in case I was completely wrong and she was just awkward like that.

"Hey Daniel, Sorry about the comment. I thought you were someone else.." she mutters.

"No prob-" I start to say but I get cut off by another girl's voice that I also came to  recognize real well.

"Hey, 'Dan the Man'" Fiza giggles as she reaches us. I grin and hug her. Fiza is one of my best girl friends and even though she is a girl, I've never dated her. She's just too much like me, she goes through guys almost as fast as I go through girls. She's one of the guys honestly and always there when I need advice on girls. Kari stands there awkwardly as Fiza completely ignores her. I frown but don't say anything.

"Well, um I'm just going to go..." Kari says and I watch as she shuffles away quickly. I turn to Fiza and frown. She stands there glaring after Kari.

"What's your problem, Fiza? You're normally friendly to everyone." I say slightly angry.

" Are you kidding me, I hate Kari and you've know that since freshman year when she tried to steal Connor from me!" she says frowning. I rolled my eyes. Connor was never even Kari's boyfriend if I recalled correctly. So I have no idea why she even has that idea in her head.

"Fiza, that was three years ago! Let. It. Go!" I enunciate the last part, hoping that maybe it'll actually stick her in her head this time.

"Ugh! Whateves." she says annoyed with her arms crossed. I sigh and walk closer to her.

"Fiza, just promise you'll try and be nice to her." I plead softly. She can get pretty violent when she's mad. Fiza softens under my gaze and relaxes her pose.

"Why? Do you like her?" she asks getting closer,  ready to hear any good gossip.

"Not my type" I reply. She really wasn't though. Kari was pretty, sure but in that girl-next-door type of way. She was also smart and studied all the time. She and I didn't exactly run in the same circle.

"Oh, okay." she says deflating. I notice all the other kids trickling out of class. School was almost over and I still hadn't shown the boys.

"I have to go, talk to you later!" I yell over my shoulder as I walk away. I make my way to the lockers where Emmett and my best friends, Jay and Rider, are huddled together laughing at some joke.

"What's so funny?" I ask behind them. They all jump up in the air and look at me.

"Nothing, we're just seeing the video of Emmett's 53rd."

I look over their shoulders and notice that they're looking at a video of a petite girl who's wrapped around him and when she backs up, she trips and falls. The guys started laughing again and I frown. A guilty feeling creeping up withing my stomach.

"Anyways!" I pronounce loudly, catching the attention of all three guys.

"I got another girl, my 101" I take out the camera and hold it out for them. Jay groans.

"I don't even know why the rest of us try, you win every year!" he grumbles. I grin and pat Jay's back.

"Aw, come on, don't be a sore loser!" I say. He grunts and takes my hand off his back.

"Whatever..." he mumbles. Emmett snorts and rolls his eyes.

"Oh who cares! Show us the video!" he says taking the camera from my hands. We all huddle around it as he presses play.
