"Theo we need to leave," She whispered harshly.Evangeline could hear her heart thump in her ears. The way her heart raced and her hands began to sweat-fear. If she wasn't careful, her wand could easily slip out.
"Why? Do you hear anything?" Theo turned around, putting a hand in her arm.
"I heard someone's thoughts. Please, we need to go," She insisted, almost begging.
Evangeline wasn't begging for her own safety. It was his. If they saw him with her, his loyalty to her will be revealed and if anyone found out about Theo or Draco's betrayal-they were already dead.
"We'll come back later," He said but as she gripped onto his arm, she turned her neck to look behind her.
For that split second she could see a figure coming around. Instantly she pinned Theo behind the wall, panting in utter terror.
"Ow!" He exclaimed in a whisper, banging his head.
The oxygen in her lungs felt like they were to escape wholly.
"Who's there!" A feminine voice shouted.
As she apparated, she caught a glimpse of Theo's face. It was written with shock and realization. Evangeline noted it in her head.
He knew who it was.
They were back in the apartment once again. It felt like she was breathing for the first air. Air flowed back into her lungs, panting.
No, hyperventilating.
Theo shushed her soothingly, "It's okay," He said.
Evangeline felt his arms around her. She thought she could handle being doing it but the eerie feeling and the darkness enhanced everything in her.
It was overwhelming. She felt like she were to override. Everything sunk in. People were hunting her. She was assaulted by a whole Death Eater. Evangeline escaped one of the worst.
Fear overran her once again. She wished she couldn't be afraid anymore. She wished she could take it like Theo.
Evangeline felt weak. Why couldn't she be like her friends? Why couldn't she take in everything the way they did? Why her?
Why. Why. Why.
Theo held her tighter, "Can I tell you a story?" He said softly.
It was a strange request but she nodded, still pressed to his chest. Evangeline just wanted time to stop. She wanted all of this to end.
Evangeline regretted the day she called her life boring. It was all she wanted now. She wanted to lay in bed without worrying about being found. She wanted to walk around the quarters without being afraid.
She took everything for granted and now it was too late. It was too late to go back.
"It's about this boy named...Eveo. He was a young farmer and far from rich but he was quite wealthy," He told.
Evangeline envisioned the story in her mind as he continued.
"An evil witch cursed his farm. Eveo didn't believe it to be true,"
"Well one day his horse died," He said, causing her snicker at how odd this story was. "He was so sad. That was his favorite horse,"
Evangeline sniffled, feeling a smile grow on her lips.
"You're not supposed to laugh," Theo chuckled.
"It's funny,"
"Anyways, Eveo still continued on and got another horse. After a week it died and he even took great care of it,"
