And I'm just supposed to believe he's trustworthy?

"What do you mean?" I asked, hoping he would elaborate.

"Before you continue Ren," Kuro interrupted, "let's get a move on. You guys picked up that weird mana too, right?"

"So it wasn't just me who sensed it."

"That's coming from the boss room." I didn't know much, but what I did know was that this wasn't an ordinary dungeon.

That's not the kind of mana even an A-Class dungeon gives off.

As we made our way to the boss room, Ren continued on about his knowing Sylvia as we killed the extra mana beasts along the way.

"Sylvia Indrath was a member of the Indrath clan of Epheotus.

We'd never seen someone with such high potential among all of the clans, surpassing even her father, Lord Kezess Indrath.

Like her father, she inherited the ultimate body among even the Asura's; the Realmheart Physique.

The Realmheart Physique was what made the Indrath clan the strongest.

After she'd ran away and escaped to Dicathen and hid from even her father, we sent a Kalast clan member out there to check the situation out.

We later discovered it was a member of the Asura's of Epheotus who ran away. We opened a rift over to Dicathen and crossed over to ask her some questions we had.

We learned that she escaped Epheotus to meet the man she loved.

She fell in love with Agrona of the Vritra, a treacherous man who went into taboo of the highest degree.

She suffered an injury by his forces and ran to Dicathen, under the impression that her father would lock her away.

We offered her shelter. She refused. We stood by her decision and just aided her in recovery. That is our history with Sylvia."

"You're telling me you knew she was injured and still didn't help her?" Arthur growled as he slashed another mana beast down.

These mana beasts are getting pretty strong now.

"Indeed. We respected her decision to stay here. She knew what she was doing when she decided to stay.

We only healed her to the best of our abilities before leaving her, nothing more or less," Ren said as he clawed down beast after beast.

"Look at the results of her stay, though.

You inherited Static Void and the Realmheart Physique, you got Sylvie, met Tessia Eralith, returned home to your family; if anything, I'd say it was worth it in the long run."

"Still doesn't change the fact that they knew she'd die," he fumed as he cut down more beasts.

"We may be beasts, but we are still human enough to respect the wishes of an individual we respect," Ren rebutted.

Arthur remained silent, cutting down the beasts as they came.

Well, he sure isn't happy after knowing the truth.

"Looks like we're close to the boss room. Now that we're up close to it, this really isn't any normal boss."

This is for damn sure a corrupted one, I can see that much.
