Chapter 22

"Little one, this is a bit too much" You announced but the eyes of Jungkook and his secretary just proceeded to travel your body before they looked at each other and started shaking hands saying - 'Good choice' - 'Thank you'.

"What the heck is wrong with both of you? What good choice are you talking about?! My summer pyjamas shorts are longer than this skirt!!!" You lashed out at the absurdity of this, now really feeling unwilling to go through with this plan. 

"Quite, don't be mean. Smile and do a good job. We rely on you." He told you with a serious look before he shoved some envelopes on your arms, so they could help you complete the look and seem more like a secretary. 

"Are you ignoring me?" You questioned him, dumbfounded by his behaviour and he proceeded to do just that as he picked up his briefcase and returned to take hold of your wrist so he could drag you along, before walking out the door. His secretary followed him and you hesitantly while you were trying your best to keep your head down while passing by people, out of embarrassment, until you finally reached Jungkook's car and you felt like you could breathe again.

"Maybe you should unbutton some buttons from your shirt as well?" He expressed his idea once you both were comfortable on the back seat and the vehicle took off, making you stare at him utterly in disbelief with his audacity before you just grabbed his thigh angrily and squeezed it until he started to show the discomfort of pain in his face.

"You little-... Let me remind you that I am your brother's girlfriend! What will he say if he learns that you are using me without a sign of shame !!" He couldn't help but laugh at your words as he deliberately spoke those words prior, having noticed that you were embarrassed. He wasn't good at comforting people but when it came to you he sure was good at teasing so that was basically his attempt to calm you down, showing you that you were in friendly waters with him and had no reason to worry.

Jungkook knew that at this time he was definitely asking you something he shouldn't and of course under other circumstances, he wouldn't even think of such a thing but given the fact that he was highly uninformed for this meeting, he couldn't deny that distraction -as you had suggested- was the best solution.

"He doesn't need to know. I will make sure to add an extra sum to your monthly payment " He replied with a wink before he left his hands to comfortably and quickly unbutton one or two-button from your shirt.

You remained motionless as his act had caught you off guard and had also made you feel highly alerted. There was no bone in your body that didn't get the chills, yet he surely hadn't noticed how his simple and quick action had made you so uncomfortable.

It wasn't that you were terrified or didn't trust him but the thought that he could have mistakenly come in contact with your skin had made you panic in thought only. Physical contact wasn't easy for you, especially with someone who aren't that much at home with yet. Jungkook sure had known you for a long time, but you were never close enough for his touch to have become something your body doesn't dislike. You barely had succeeded at being approachable to some of Jimin's touches after years with him and even with him, there were times that you couldn't bear it.

How am I supposed to make him cheat if I'm like that.

You thought as reality kept reminding you of how impossible your aim truly was.

The vehicle came to a halt after a while and the opening of the car door was what brought you back to reality, noticing Jungkook who was waiting for you to step out and was keeping the door for you.

Without many words, you followed him into the hotel and to the room where the meeting would take place, your feet halting briefly by the door so you could take a deep breath before walking inside.
