The Kings Servent (Sonadow)

Young Sonic POV
-Flash Back-

It was a normal sunny day. Shadow and I had just come from this super cool river we found a ways away from our clearing.

It had been 6 months since I met Shadow. Wow I can't believe it's been that long! I conisider Shadow my best friend, even though he would never say the same for me, I knew I was also his best friend. We do everything together!

Shadow has a soft spot for people who are close to him, like a month ago was my 14th birthday and he threw a surprise party for me in his huge castle! I had never been to it until then. He even invited my buddy Tails, the two tailed fox who lived in town, he's always making things and fixing stuff for people.

Tails would sometimes come by the clearing and hang out with us, he even helped touch up Shadow's tree house in the winter so we wouldn't be cold. But Shadow never liked having others at the tree house.

"I- I only like it when your here. No one else." He had said. It was night and we were laying down next to each other, looking at the stars through a small telescope we had bought in town.

I know it sounds stupid, but I swear he was blushing, but I could only see it slightly because the only light source there was, was the moon. When he said that it gave me butterflies, his tone was different, almost enticing? It was one of the nice things he had ever said to me and it made feel special. Like he only wanted me and no one else. It's not like I like him.. Or he likes me. No, no it's not like that at all.

"Ha! Look at this one dork!" I was holding up a series of photos.

One was of me taking a photo with a peace sign and Shadow, in the background, on all fours looking at all the fish swimming down the river. The next was me shoving the idiots head underwater, and all the fish quickly swimming away. The last one was moments before a drenched Shadow landed a punch on the side of my face.

"Quit moving! God, can't you stay still for once?" Shadow was cleaning the cut that he caused on my face. I had no idea how I was holding it together with him so close to my face. Butterflies were completely taking over my stomach.

We were in the treehouse, sitting on the floor. I was going through the photos I took at the river. There was at least ten photos of different flowers.

I sighed, "Ugh Shadow! I told you to stop using my camera to take photos of your dumb flowers! Your wasting my film." I threw the photos at him and they scattered around his lap and on the floor.

"Shut up, they're not dumb, plus I'll just buy you more film."

"Well you won't have to since you broke my camera, you ass." Shadow had accidentally broke my camera while practically beating me up.

"That was your fault Sonic. Plus, you can just have Tails fix it. Now shut up and let me finish." He was now putting gauze on the cut and holding it in place with a bandaid.

"I thought you didn't want Tails here. Since you want me all to yourself." I mumbled the last sentence.

Apparently he heard and said, "I said shut up."

I looked at him in the corner of my eye and saw that a faint blush had risen on his face.

Shadow put one more bandaid on and finished with a smack on my head. "Okay I'm done."

"Ow! Why must you always hit me."

"It brings me joy." Shadow said simply, shrugging his shoulders and getting up, walking to the trash and throwing away all the bandaid wrappers.
