Tick Tock Tick Tock ... Time passes ... Tick Tock Tick Tock

My mom called me and told me not to come home. I don't even know why.

Now I have to ask Y/N if I can spend the night. She usually says yes, but what if she says no?

I sit there fidgeting with my fingers when I hear "Hey Robin, ready to go?"
I look up and see Y/N smiling at me from the other side of the counter.
I ask "Can I spend the night? I know it's late notice, but my mom called and said I shouldn't come home. I don't know why. You can say no. Don't feel pressured to say yes."
She asks "Can I call my mom to make sure it's cool with her? If it was up to me, I would say yes." If it was up to her... I could cry. She's the best.
I nod and hand her the phone.

As she's calling her mom, Steve whispers in my ear "Go for it, Robin."
I whisper "I have to spend the night, Steve. I couldn't escape if it went wrong." 

I hear "Hey Robin, my mom is okay with you coming over. She's making beef stroganoff and has plenty too. She also wanted me to return Back to the Future and get a new movie. My brother wants Star Wars: A New Hope."
I smile and place the phone back on the wall.
 I reply "Thank you for letting me spend the night and ... let me see if it's in stock. Oh, it is. I'll get that for you."
Y/N replies "Wow, I love the service here. A worker working after her shift ends, now that's nice."
I laugh and I get the movie.

I check her out literally and figuratively. God, she's so hot. Please forgive me for using your name in vain, but come on, you understand. Right? I mean she's so beautiful and perfect.

Y/N and I get inside her car then she starts driving. We make it home and we go to her room.

Y/N throws her backpack on the ground and lays on the ground. I set mine next to hers and lay next to her.

I hear "What are you two doing?"
Y/N answers "Contemplating life brother of mine."
Y/N's brother replies "Weird... bye."

I laugh and ask "So what about life are you contemplating?"
She answers "I don't know. Mainly how loud I will play at the game this weekend."
I laugh and reply "Anything but that, no."
She asks "Speaking of, what are you doing after the game?"
I snap my face to hers and stare back. Did she ask what I was going to do after the game? If I was talking to Steve, I would joke that I don't want to date him. But Y/N, I can't make a joke like that. What do I say?
She waves a hand over my face and asks "Earth to Robin... Earth to Robin!"
I reply "Sorry. Um... could you repeat your question?"
She asks "Yeah, no problem. I just asked what you were doing after the game this weekend. I wanted to get milkshakes and wanted to see if you wanted to go with me."
I swallow slowly and answer "Yes. That sounds great. Will it be like... uh a... a date?"

We hear her mom calling us down for dinner and Y/N exclaims "We'll continue this chat later. I don't want to be late for my mom. She'll send my brother up and he'll scream into my room."
I ask "Promise we can finish this conversation?"
She holds out her pinky and says "I pinky promise."
We shake pinkies and head to dinner.

Dinner passes smoothly without me freaking out too much.

Y/N's brother decides to turn on the movie, so everyone races to put on pajamas before we start watching.

When we go back out to the couch, we sit next to each other.
Y/N asks "Wanna share a blanket?"
I answer "Yeah sure."
Y/N pulls the blanket over our legs as the movie starts.

My mind is half on the movie and half on Y/N. First, she lets me stay at her place whenever I need to. Second, she asks to get milkshakes with her after the game and doesn't answer if it's a date. Third, we're sharing a blanket. And on that note, her leg occasionally brushes mine. My mind is freaking out. I can barely handle this. Are we going on a date or not? I just ... I am freaking out.

I feel Y/N lean over to me and she asks "Luke or Leia?"
I answer "As in dating or like as a friend or like who I would want to be on my team if there was a rebellion against the Empire?"
She answers "All three I guess."
I answer "So if there was a rebellion, I would pick Luke. He can fly and he's a Jedi. For a friend, I would pick Luke as well. Everyone likes him and he's still a nerd about droids. And finally as a date, Leia. Who would you pick for all of those situations?"
She answers "If there was a rebellion, I would pick Luke as well because he seems best for a battle. For a friend, I would pick Luke because he's kind. And as a date, it would depend. I would have to get to know them both and see who I'm attracted to more."
She then turns back to the movie leaving me to wonder if she likes both girls and guys. Did she just admit it without admitting it? Great, another thing for my brain to focus on until the movie is over.

The movie finishes and we head back to Y/N's room. Y/N goes to shower and I shower after her.

After the shower, she's in her bed reading and I slide in next to her.

I ask "So can we talk?"
Y/N answers "Of course. About what we were talking about earlier, right?"
I answer "Yes. I just... I am freaking out. Y/N, I have something to tell you and you have to promise that you won't tell anyone without my consent."
She nods and says "Ok I promise." I exclaim "I've known since I was very young that I liked girls more than boys. When I was in middle school, I realized I am lesbian. I've only told my parents and Steve."
She replies "Thank you for sharing that with me, Robin. I trust you and will keep your secret."
I reply "Thank you Y/N."
She says "Since we're both being trusting and stuff, I'm bisexual. I've never told anyone about it before. You're the first person I am telling."
I ask "So what was the Luke and Leia question really about?"
She answers "I wanted to know if it was going to be a date or not. Your answer made me realize that if you're open to it, we could go on a date."
OMG OMG OMG OMG
I reply "I would like to go on a date with you, yes. I may or may not have a crush on you."
She asks "For how long?"
I answer "You were my gay awakening. It was our friend's birthday party when we were 13 and you made me a friendship bracelet. I still wear it every day."
She laughs and says "Stop, you're lying."
I show her my wrist and she holds it delicately. She exclaims "I'm surprised you kept it. I've like liked you for 1 year."
I reply "There is no way."
She replies "Yes way! I have!"
I laugh. This is insane.

I flop onto the bed and say "This is literally insane. I cannot believe you like me and I like you and we're going on a date."
Y/N wraps her arms around me and says "You better believe it, Robin."
I kiss her on the forehead and she asks "Do you ... do you wanna kiss?"
I answer "I give my consent to kiss me."
She smiles and leans in.
 I lean in all the way and we kiss.

This is definitely the best day of my life so far.
