separate ways | enzo x reader

"I wanted to introduce myself but if your going to use the chair on me i guess this will turn into a very different welcoming" where his first words as he fully entered the room.

Despite being a Russian guard he was possibly the most handsome guard i had seen so far, but it wasn't just his looks that drew me to him, his whole aura had a feel of comfort and safety as i continued to watch him.

I knew i had been staring too long as the guard placed his hand's by his side and was starting to walk over to me, probably trying to take the chair that i still had raised above me - but i wasn't that easy and if he tried to pull any stupid Russian guard move on me i swear to god i will slam this chair so hard down on his commie ass.

"If you come any closer and try and take this chair away from me so help me god i will whack you into next week" i said with as much confidence as i could, even with the chattering of my teeth as the cold air was beginning to get to me once more.

This didn't faze the guard however, as he just looked down shaking his head trying to hide his large toothy grin that danced across his face from my words, even though the circumstances we where under doesn't seem like the type to make you want to smile too - but his had some serious effect on making me want to smile back with him - obviously i couldn't, and neither could i be thinking like this , but there was just something about him.

"I promise you, i am not here to hurt you, maybe we should start this over again" He offered with a small smile eyeing the chair that was still in the air.

With that i nodded and slowly placed the chair back on the floor before wrapping my arms around myself to try and create some kind of heat that would warm me.

"Im Dimitri but you can call me Enzo as your American friend likes to call me for some reason" Dimitri replied in humoured confusion.

I looked down trying to bite back a smile as i remembered Hopper wanting to take Joyce out to Enzo's for 'drinks'. And without even thinking i nearly voiced my thoughts.

"Yeah Hopper wanted to take Joyce there i-" i paused as a wave of homesickness swept over to me as i realised just how far away me and Hopper where from Enzo's, and Hawkins.

"Anyway, I'm y/n" i said timidly looking down, i had to shake of the longing i had for home and try and at least make my stay here as good as it could get.

"Joyce is Hoppers woman right" Enzo said smirking slightly, and for the first time since i got here i felt the corner of my mouth twitch upwards in a half smile as i thought back to how me Max, and Eleven always made fun of Hopper's attempt at tying to get Joyce to go out with him.

"Yeah he likes to think so" i said breathing out a laugh looking back at Enzo, but this time in the eyes, i felt slightly more comfortable around him now, the air became more easier to breath in.

He was looking back at me aswell with his own small smile, taking in my appearance before he spoke again.

"You have a a very beautiful smile and name, they suite you" he said after, it remained silent for awhile.

Of course i was trying to beat down the blush that wanted to rise from his words, especially since he was as gorgeous as he was - but on the other hand i also saw this as a red flag,what if this was just once of his cruel guard ways at trying to manipulate me and get what every other guard wanted to have me for.

"If that was your attempt at trying to butter me up and get what all the other guards wanted, flattery isn't going to work" i said sternly but with fear surrounding my eyes as i backed away slightly.

As soon as i had spoke Enzo's face filled with shock as he stared at me and i couldn't read his as well as before, but what i could get was how maybe he wasn't trying to get what i though he was.
