separate ways | enzo x reader

The drive back to the prison was more than eerie, there seemed to be too much going on in your mind for you to focus on all at once; Max's well fair, Joyce and Hopper's well fair, the fact that your going back to that godforsaken prison to try and kill a mind flair that at this point its easy to believe it could be indestructible - the fact you didn't say those three words to Enzo. However, you really didn't want to promise anything to him, you barely made it out last time and even though you wouldn't have met Enzo if the events that happened didn't; you didn't want him thinking you where indestructible when it came to 'monster fighting' as he put it. 

We eventually approached the prison - the only difference this time where the gates that seemed to be bulldozed through and the whole place seemed dully empty, giving you the worst cases of chills at the thought of what  things could still be lurking back. 

All of us followed on with each other making out way back into the security room, just befroe the make shift lad where, with a gurgle still sat a torn apart lab technician clinging onto life. 

''What happened here'' Murray spoke in Russian after we all approached him who seemed unable to do anything other than gurgle up blood splattered Russian.

''The monster got in, the guards tried to stop it- the gun fire shattered the tanks, the others came alive'' Murray translated and all you could do was tighten the hold of your gun, not to be seen as a threat, but more to give you a sense of comfort that if one of those things came at you - you where prepared. 

''The particles, ask him about the particles'' Hopper stated, firmly as we all awaited the upcoming answer. 

''He saysthey call it the shadow - the shadow went into them'' 

''Into who'' you questioned, your eyes not leaving the dying scientist - but there was no time for quick replies as the room seemed to shake from the angered groans and bellowing that had sprung from distant Demogorgon's scattered around the court yard, and most probably dotted in various parts of the prison. 

''I thinkthis answers your question, the shadow is in them''

I know, i know, it should not have took me over a year to finish / update this book, and even though this is just a sneak peak of the chapter yet to follow i just wanted to get something out there you can read and hold on to just so you know i will be updating this week, and hopefully finishing it soon so i can focus on other project I'm currently working on and very excited to publish! 

Also, the amount of votes, comments and views this story is beyond mind blowing and i am so happy that so many of you like this book, i was really expecting it to be a flop - but i can only hope you enjoy my future books that will soon follow after this!
